The atmosphere at Mountain Home Ranch is imbued with warm hearted spirit, an ideal setting for creative work. John & Suzanne took good care of our group, providing healthy meals and a relaxed setting for hours of painting. We appreciated the natural environment, the goats grazing with the cows, and the spring plants in bud, all contributing to a our...

My wife and I stay here quite often and absolutely love it. The staff are caring and responsive and always ensure that we have what we need for a great stay. The healthy food is always delicious and well prepared. The old-time charm is evident in all of the rooms and the main building. We love going for hikes down...

We reserved a place last-minute in Calistoga on a holiday weekend - so just getting something was a bonus. As a kidless couple, we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves staying at what is basically a big ol' family camp. We certainly had our own room but most of the people there were fmilies and it was super fun! Big...

We are very sorry about this reviewer's bad experience. As this is a facility over one hundred years old, we try very hard to be meticulous in our cleaning practices, using only environmentally friendly supplies. It appears that this time we failed and we apologize and promise to try harder. As to amenities, we chose not to sell alcohol, although...

My husband and I went for 2 night stay this week. The drive from the East Bay was beautiful. We really had very little idea of what the expect but were delighted whence arrived. This place is very relaxed, homey and welcoming. It would be a perfect place for a family get together. There are many cabins, extremely reasonable in...

Mountain Home Ranch is the perfect family get away. Rustic cabins offers everything you need. The main house is warm and inviting and offers delicious breakfast. We loved that we could take our dogs everywhere we went on the grounds including hikes and lake. The staff is wonderful, the views breathtaking....we can't wait to go back.

5 of us stayed for 3 nites while wine tasting in sonoma and calistoga, st helena. Very close to all. Yes, rustic, but the owners are just wonderful folks- inviting, not nosey, giving good information about places to go and things to see. 4th generation of family running it. These folks now doing year round, hosting groups (3 meals/day available),...

In the midst of 360 acres, this combination of lodge and cabins is a great place for a relatively inexpensive visit to Wine Country. Waking up to bird song, watching the sun rise from a clifftop viewpoint, and enjoying coffee in front of the huge stone fireplace is a great way to start the day, followed by breakfasts that are...

This is a great place! There is an awsome pool, a ton of animals (cows, chickens, goats, cats, horses and a mule) the view is amazing and the cabins are okay. My kids love it and we have made it a yearly tradition.
