Travelers' Choice
Discover this historic, iconic resort in the beautiful Napa Valley. Indian Springs Calistoga’s palm tree-lined drive unfolds into 17 stunning acres of rolling hills and ponds, lush olive trees and fragrant gardens, bursting with lavender and roses. Our accommodations are comprised of an eclectic collection of historic cottages, luxurious bungalows, Mission Revival-style buildings and 2 to 3 bedroom homes spread out across our 17 acres, each providing a unique view and a different feel. The end result remains the same—luxury and warmth without all the fuss—outdoor spaces that bring you closer to the environment and indoor spaces with whimsical details and spa-like features. For over a century, guests have journeyed to Indian Springs Calistoga in search of relaxation and well-being. As one of the original spas in California, our thermal mineral waters, mud baths and special treatments attract those seeking an authentic spa experience. Our on-site restaurant, Sam's Social Club is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike for its seasonally and locally influenced menu served in a convivial and vibrant atmosphere. Out of great respect for traditions, we offer guests an authentic spa and resort experience that’s truly one of a kind.

Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Indian Springs Calistoga hotel garners mixed feedback, with many guests applauding the hotel's relaxing vibe and praising its convenient location for exploring Calistoga. The mineral pools and spa services are often highlighted as key amenities, though some guests feel these do not justify the premium pricing. While the resort's cleanliness generally receives commendations, the value proposition is contentious, with a number of travelers questioning the cost relative to the quality of rooms and services. Service quality and room noise levels are also areas where guest experiences vary.

My family used to love Indian Springs. It was classy without being pretentious, exuding old-world charm. Since they began trying to be more exclusive, adding unnecessary upgrades and more rooms than the facilities can serve, and tripling the prices, it's become crowded with obnoxious and entitled clientele, and the service has gone downhill. What they've done with the outdoor area of the restaurant, to accommodate the higher number of guests - enclosing it with plastic and adding astroturf - is a shame. It used to be understated with natural beauty. After many visits, I doubt we'll return.

Response from Christopher Lee, Guest Services / Front Office at Indian Springs Calistoga
Responded 2 days ago
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback here. We appreciate your patronage over the visits to Indian Springs Resort. We believe that the specific and thought out upgrades made to the resort have only enhanced the guest experience. Hotel rates for the resort, while they have increased over the years, are still approachable and keep us at a nice range for the Napa Valley traveler or visiting for a local getaway. The outdoor covered area will be removed by May once the weather turns to enjoy the outdoor space and scenery. We are sorry that you feel the property has gone downhill as that is the last feeling we want you to have during your visits. We thank you for taking the time to send this feed back. We will look over this and make adjustments where we can. All the best, Christopher Lee Director of Rooms

Love this place. Like joining a club of like minded people all taking a step off the carousel. taking time to “recharge” mind, body and soul. Never mind the weather the pool is always warm, but it’s more fun when the air is cool, not too hot or cold. And the pool side service is pretty special, the Palomas and Ceviche are highly recommended!

The cottage was great and provided privacy to our family. The pools are beautiful. We loved riding the bikes around the property and using the games. The grounds are clean and well kept. Lots of sitting areas to enjoy a coffee or wine.

I have been coming here since 1980, so, I have seen the many changes over the decades. I love this place. I used to come for the day but, recently, have been staying over for a night or two. It has become a world class destination without the razzle dazzle noise and distractions. It is peaceful, nourishing and refreshing. All staff are friendly and helpful. The spa and treatment staff are outstanding. The spring-fed pools are lovely. There is even a little Main Street in town to walk through, if you’d like. Good coffee, both on site and in town, is readily available. Also, there is a good supermarket just a block up the street if you aren’t in the mood for cafe or restaurant food.

The couch in our 2 bedroom cottage was terribly uncomfortable - neede 2-3 pillows just to sit up straignt. Could use hooks in bedroom without closet and bathroom. Need new / better functioning soap/shampoo and conditioner dispensers.

Rooms are nice but not top notch. Blow dryers are weak - forget about drying your hair ladies. Beds are soft and uncomfortable and sheets could be upgraded. On the positive side, the pools are fun and very relaxing. The spa was decent but could use some updating.
