This hotel has it all! We booked a 2 bedroom suite for ourselves and our adult daughter. Each bedroom had a sink/vanity area, and we shared a jack & jill tub/shower & toilet combination. There was also a small sitting room with a fridge, small sink & Illy coffee maker. The room was perfect for us! Included is morning coffee/tea and some delicious cake breads that are delivered to your room at the time you request. The A/C works well and is quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. Bonus: beautiful pool area and an on-site spa. In the hotel, there was a great bar (with food), Johnny's, that was staffed with awesome bartenders and frequented by the friendliest and most helpful local residents. Having a drink there before heading out to dinner was awesome! Shout out to Roland and Clint who make our trip extra special by being so much fun to talk to. The hotel also has an Italian restaurant, Amaro's, which has a lovely (quieter) bar, with awesome food. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

You cannot beat the location of the hotel in the heart of Calistoga. The adjoining restaurant and bar are convenient. The rooms are small. There is no elevator access to the second floor rooms. Must use public street parking in front of the hotel or in public lots within short walking distance of the hotel. The outside pool and mineral water-infused hot tub are convenient. The value to price ratio is very good for this location and the amenities.

We visited the hotel in September 2020. It's understandable there were some restrictions and limitations but... Hot tub was hot and we enjoyed mineral water hot tub. A little frustrated the pool is just regular, not mineral. I don't understand why the owner doesn't want to upgrade it to mineral pool. The location is great. It was a walking distance to restaurants and please spend some time walking in neighborhood. This is an old hotel so there was no elevator also the room was a little outdated but clean and bright.

Lovely place to stay! It's been a few years since I have stayed in Calistoga, and this hotel's century old charm and elegance is still in top notch shape. Same European adults only feeling with a calm and restful atmosphere as before. Great hidden gem in Calistoga that feels like a charming European community in a wine country town. Walk anywhere and everywhere in this central location, yet quiet and comfortable rooms (there's a mini fridge for those of us GF that usually have to plan ahead) and a/c in each room. While still under COVID-19 restrictions, things have changed, but only for the better. Instead of a voucher for the downstairs restaurant, you receive personalized breakfast items that arrive via room service (which are included in the price for the night's stay). Particularly notable was the delicious gluten free fresh baked current and cranberry scone (not gritty and grainy) which arrived with local North Bay tea company (Republic of Tea) served at the time of your choice (quite a generous time selection of the morning). For coffee drinkers, there’s an Illy machine in the room with eco-friendly real tea/coffee and espresso cups, saucers and stir spoons. (Thank you for not having more compostable/disposables)! Rooms are sparkling clean (A+ for friendly and professional housekeeping service). Pool is warm enough to relax but not too hot to swim (if you wanted to) and hot tub with the natural hot springs fed water was more spacious than I remember. It has some mineral deposits, and that’s a good thing ~ I want to know that it’s real living/healing water and calcium carbonate deposits are a good sign! I look forward to returning again. Even when I can't travel to Europe, or time travel to the 1920's, this fills both buckets with a dose of spa and summertime R&R.

Traveled to this hotel with a friend who was visiting from out of town. Being at this hotel reminded me of a trip to Miami. This hotel is small, charming, and has a great pool area. The weather was beautiful so we enjoyed the pool and hot tub with a beautiful view of the mountains and trees nearby. This hotel is surrounded by great food so no need to travel far. There were even wine tasting rooms on the same block. My friend was also able to find a walking trail and was able to take a nice long hike. The room we had was beautiful and had a nice view of the pool. Breakfast was delivered to our room in the morning. All of the staff was friendly and I cannot wait to visit in the future.
