The location of the hotel is great and the pool and hot tub are nice. And that concludes the positive comments from this customer. The queen room for $350 per night was very small and basic. Seems that they have excuses for everything: - there is no elevator to the second floor "because the hotel was built before the invention of elevators." - there is no straightening up the room "because of the drought." I get that you don't want to wash the towels after one use and am all for it. But for $350 per night, I think somebody should make the bed - nothing to do with the drought. - there was no breakfast in the breakfast room because of COVID (never mind that we all sat in restaurants and wine-tasting rooms the whole time of our stay). Our room was just so small that it wasn't fun to have breakfast in it. But really their "breakfast room closed due to Covid" was also super small. - the breakfast consists of muffin bread and weak coffee - when asked about a gluten-free option, they reluctantly offered a gluten-free scone. - no hotel parking lot "because due to COVID their parking was taken away for outside dining options" which were not there. Our view from the room was towards a parking lot that was used for storing a food truck and several steel tanks used for winemaking. Parking only on the street or a public parking lot a block away. Of course, this is all fine for a lower-priced place - but for $350 per night, it's definitely a very low standard.…
Beautiful hotel and great location. Staff are fantastic. We had a small queen room but had plenty of room for 4 day trip. Walking distance to everything. Street parking is an issue during weekend but no problem during weekday. Amazing location. Perfect temperature pool and awesome Geo thermal mineral springs jacuzzi.. Amazeinnnnggg
First time to Napa Valley and we chose to focus on Calistoga. We found the hotel through trip advisor and liked the location and rooms but my main purpose for the review is the spa. I booked a massage for my husband and a mad and facial for me. Danielle did my treatments and she was AMAZING! Danielle provided one of the best deep tissue massages I’ve ever had. I felt like it was 90 minutes but it was only 60. She took her time and left a lasting impression. She was also the aesthetician and my facial was fantastic. Highly recommend Danielle when booking a spa treatment at the Mount View Hotel. Valerie in spa booking was so thorough and made sure our treatments went as planned before we arrived.
I chose this establishment for a very special reunion with my sister. I had stayed here many years ago and loved it then. I was completely amazed at the renovations and excellent customer service provided us. The staff were absolutely amazing; Dereck when I made the reservations and greeting us upon arrival; Trina, Guest Experiences Director who provided moment-to-moment refreshments & joyful interactions; True Spa staff including the most amazing Body Wrap, no words to describe Rosa's magic. I would love to acknowledge all the staff who greeted us regularly. The pool and surrounding area was a paradise; such wonderful time we had in this delightful environment. Thank you so much for one of the best vacations ever!

Spent a nice long President's Day weekend in Calistoga at the Mount View Hotel and Spa and it was a delight. Such a great location, the staff was all so nice and friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, had great towels and care products in the shower - only requests for the room were if they could have king sized pillows for king size beds and to have curtains that were a little bigger and easier to slide across. The pool area was so nice, spent a lot of time out there after wine-tasting, pool could have been a bit warmer for winter, but for most other times of the year - I'm sure it's fine. And the mineral spring water just feels great in the spa. Thanks again and can't wait to come back!
It was an amazing stay. Mount View Hotel and Spa is right on the main street in Calistoga -- an easy walk to all shops and many restaurants. The entire experience (from first call to saying goodbye) was fabulous. Matthew (at the front desk) was amazing. So warm, helpful, and interested in our enjoyment. We used the spa and had the Mint Mojito bath & massage package -- walked from our room in robes and had the BEST sessions. Therapists and staff we also amazingly interested in making sure we had the best experience. We stayed in the Queen Queen Suite with two rooms, sinks in each one, a shared sitting area and a linked (Jack and Jill) bathroom. Perfect for a girls getaway weekend. Grabbed wine in the sports bar off the lobby for a night cap -- so easy. And ended our stay with the delicious slabs (not slices) of breakfast loaves and coffee in our room. We will definitely return! Recommend the MVH&S highly!…
Had a lovely stay at the Mount View Hotel in beautiful Calistoga last week. The historic hotel is in a great, central location so you can walk to many restaurants and the cute shops and tasting rooms downtown. The staff was excellent - so helpful and accommodating. Enjoyed the breakfast tray with the delicious breads and great coffee. Highlight is the pool area with hot tub - definitely bring a bathing suit! That was our only regret. Weather was nice enough one day that they opened the outside bar and fire pits which was such a treat. Next time will spend an extra day to go to the spa!
Love to stay here! I love to come stay here for the location, clean rooms, and great service. Matthew at the front desk booked our reservation during midweek with the AAA discount, and assited me with tastings up in Howell mountaibn and Calistoga as well. I highly recommend this hotel for a long term stay and short get aways!
I came up to Calistoga on a whim, was able to get a last minute room on a Saturday... Matthew at the front desk set me up, and when I asked of places to eat and taste wine along the wine he guided me to lola wines. I had an amazing experience. Overall pool is awesome, rooms are clean. Bar in hotel and restaurant nice and recommended by staff. I will have to try it out next visit
