I chose this establishment for a very special reunion with my sister. I had stayed here many years ago and loved it then. I was completely amazed at the renovations and excellent customer service provided us. The staff were absolutely amazing; Dereck when I made the reservations and greeting us upon arrival; Trina, Guest Experiences Director who provided moment-to-moment refreshments & joyful interactions; True Spa staff including the most amazing Body Wrap, no words to describe Rosa's magic. I would love to acknowledge all the staff who greeted us regularly. The pool and surrounding area was a paradise; such wonderful time we had in this delightful environment. Thank you so much for one of the best vacations ever!

Beautiful hotel and great location. Staff are fantastic. We had a small queen room but had plenty of room for 4 day trip. Walking distance to everything. Street parking is an issue during weekend but no problem during weekday. Amazing location. Perfect temperature pool and awesome Geo thermal mineral springs jacuzzi.. Amazeinnnnggg
Spent a nice long President's Day weekend in Calistoga at the Mount View Hotel and Spa and it was a delight. Such a great location, the staff was all so nice and friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, had great towels and care products in the shower - only requests for the room were if they could have king sized pillows for king size beds and to have curtains that were a little bigger and easier to slide across. The pool area was so nice, spent a lot of time out there after wine-tasting, pool could have been a bit warmer for winter, but for most other times of the year - I'm sure it's fine. And the mineral spring water just feels great in the spa. Thanks again and can't wait to come back!
It was an amazing stay. Mount View Hotel and Spa is right on the main street in Calistoga -- an easy walk to all shops and many restaurants. The entire experience (from first call to saying goodbye) was fabulous. Matthew (at the front desk) was amazing. So warm, helpful, and interested in our enjoyment. We used the spa and had the Mint Mojito bath & massage package -- walked from our room in robes and had the BEST sessions. Therapists and staff we also amazingly interested in making sure we had the best experience. We stayed in the Queen Queen Suite with two rooms, sinks in each one, a shared sitting area and a linked (Jack and Jill) bathroom. Perfect for a girls getaway weekend. Grabbed wine in the sports bar off the lobby for a night cap -- so easy. And ended our stay with the delicious slabs (not slices) of breakfast loaves and coffee in our room. We will definitely return! Recommend the MVH&S highly!…
Had a lovely stay at the Mount View Hotel in beautiful Calistoga last week. The historic hotel is in a great, central location so you can walk to many restaurants and the cute shops and tasting rooms downtown. The staff was excellent - so helpful and accommodating. Enjoyed the breakfast tray with the delicious breads and great coffee. Highlight is the pool area with hot tub - definitely bring a bathing suit! That was our only regret. Weather was nice enough one day that they opened the outside bar and fire pits which was such a treat. Next time will spend an extra day to go to the spa!
Love to stay here! I love to come stay here for the location, clean rooms, and great service. Matthew at the front desk booked our reservation during midweek with the AAA discount, and assited me with tastings up in Howell mountaibn and Calistoga as well. I highly recommend this hotel for a long term stay and short get aways!
I came up to Calistoga on a whim, was able to get a last minute room on a Saturday... Matthew at the front desk set me up, and when I asked of places to eat and taste wine along the wine he guided me to lola wines. I had an amazing experience. Overall pool is awesome, rooms are clean. Bar in hotel and restaurant nice and recommended by staff. I will have to try it out next visit
We stayed for two nights for a weekend getaway to wine country. The location is perfect, walking distance to shops, restaurants, and wine tasting, or a short drive away to wonderful wineries. The hotel is charming and premises are well maintained. We booked a king room and it was clean and charming, but very small. Our friends booked the same room category and got a much larger room with a seating area, almost like a suite. But we didn't make a big deal about it. The coffee and small breakfast delivered to the room was a nice touch. Although one morning we called the front desk asking for extra coffee pot, which they said would be brought up the room, but extra coffee never arrived. We used the pool and it was wonderful. Service at the pool and wine tasting by the pool were outstanding. The spa was great. Overall, our very relaxing and wonderful weekend at the hotel was not tarnished by hit and miss service from front desk.…
This hotel has it all! We booked a 2 bedroom suite for ourselves and our adult daughter. Each bedroom had a sink/vanity area, and we shared a jack & jill tub/shower & toilet combination. There was also a small sitting room with a fridge, small sink & Illy coffee maker. The room was perfect for us! Included is morning coffee/tea and some delicious cake breads that are delivered to your room at the time you request. The A/C works well and is quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. Bonus: beautiful pool area and an on-site spa. In the hotel, there was a great bar (with food), Johnny's, that was staffed with awesome bartenders and frequented by the friendliest and most helpful local residents. Having a drink there before heading out to dinner was awesome! Shout out to Roland and Clint who make our trip extra special by being so much fun to talk to. The hotel also has an Italian restaurant, Amaro's, which has a lovely (quieter) bar, with awesome food. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!…
