We stayed at this motel on our visit to Burney Falls. Knowing that we would stay late in the park, we opted for the Shasta Pines instead of the hour-long drive to Redding. So, we basically stayed there only for the location. Our room was large and clean, but traffic noise was annoyingly loud. The new addition is further off... More

This is a great motel. Nice and quiet. We had room #160 in the newest wing. This place is very clean. They have coffee, microwave and a fridge in the room. AC worked great. And It is very close to Burney Falls. Also close to restaurants and a grocery store.

A bit more expensive than we would have liked and we had to take an upstairs room. No elevator so packing bags up the twisting stairs was an issue. The room was large, clean and comfortable and very quiet. Had a great sleep.

The room was smaller than appeared in photos. The shower was tiny. I'm 5'2" and 155# and I could not turn around within the water flow to feel I was sufficiently rinsed. Ladies you can forget shaving. The upside was the room was clean and close to Burney Falls and not far from Lassen Volcanic Park which were our destinations... More

Your limited as to where to stay in Burney and you can't beat this motel for price. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Easy parking. We've stayed there on our last two trips and will again. We stay in the newer section. No pool but we don't care about that.

Stayed recently while helping partner with resupply on PCT. Rooms in newer 2 story building are larger and nicer than the older part of hotel which are still nice enough. The owners (an older Indian gent and his family) were quite welcoming and offered to show us several rooms (they seemed to not grasp that two grown men were ok... More

Our group had 3 rooms. Two were good, one had a musty smell, more than likely because of a rotten bathroom floor. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. There is no pool, laundry or breakfast. McDonald's is across the street. Restaurant next door was good, but a little pricey and only open in evenings five days a week.

We were very surprised by this motel! The grounds were kept very nice. It was very peaceful and quiet. The rooms were better than a lot of major hotels we have been in. The beds were extremely comfortable and the staff was great!

This is a surprisingly clean and updated motel with well-maintained grounds. Beds are comfortable and the room was clean. There was a detachable hand-held shower which is uncommon in motels, but very appreciated. Helpful and friendly front desk staff.

If you are headed to Burney, CA the Shasta Pines is a good place to stay. It is clean, fairly comfortable the owners are pleasant and helpful. The price is about average for Burney, which doesn't have too many choices. It is definitely not a 'modern hotel'. Art's Outpost restaurant is at the entrance. It is the best restaurant in... More
