This hotel is beautiful from the outside when lit up at night, but the hotel rooms are in dire need of an upgrade. The rugs in our room were terribly stained, and my husband, who travels and stays at Marriotts constantly, said it was one of the worst rooms in a Residence Inn. The rugs in the hall were just as bad. The room was clean and the bed, of course, was comfortable. The rooms were roomy as expected. We did check in around midnight, so I am sure it was the last room left as they were booked. The location is excellent - easy walking distance to Ikea and downtown Burbank - which is lovely. Movies there include Imax, with $5 Tuesdays (I heard) all day. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from within walking distance, including Panera, Chipotle, Five Guys, Panda Express, BJ's, Steak and Shake, Ben and Jerry's (gotta include ice cream!) and many others. I would probably stay here again as you can't beat the location. Parking is easy - if you can't park in underneath, you can park on the street level which we never had a problem finding a spot. To check in, pull in the lower parking lot as its not clearly marked.

Dear DebbieS34A, Thank you for the comments you shared in regards to your recent stay with us. The hotel was renovated back in January of 2015. We are scheduled for our next renovation in a few years. We do run a yearly occupancy of around 90%. Summertime is our busiest time of the year. We do have our carpets serviced professionally twice a year. We usually wait until our summer rush is over. We are scheduling our next round of carpet cleaning here in September. I am pleased you were happy with the way our rooms were set up and that you felt they were spacious and clean. We are located in the heart of downtown Burbank and as you mentioned we are close to many eateries. Once again I appreciate the feedback and we look forward to serving you the next time your travels bring back to the Burbank area. Regards, Michael J. Swaney General Manager

On August 2019 my husband, my kid and I stayed for a night at the Residence Inn Los Angeles Burbank/Downtown. Was a good overall experience. Small lobby, nice office/rest area, free breakfast. LOCATION: The hotel is located close to Universal Studios (which is why we were there). We took an UBER there, it was a 12 min drive and about 11 USD each way. ROOMS: Our room was large with a king bed and a sofa bed, kitchen, dining table. - Views: We had a view to the street and Ikea. - Illumination: The room it’s very well illuminated, lots of lamps and spots. Just how I like it. - Beds: Very good mattress. I slept very well. - Noise: No noise. - Cleanliness: It was clean. SERVICE: The staff is respectful and friendly. - Wi Fi: Fast. - Swimming Pool: We didn’t use it looked big and clean. - Gym: Nil. - Common areas: Lobby is small but efficient. - Business Center: Nicely decorated. - Transportation: Nil.

We stayed here 3 nights and loved this property. It is a newer motel so it is very modern and clean. J. Antonio at the front desk was wonderful and made us feel very welcome. The evening social was great Mon-Wed and the breakfast was wonderful with many choices. We also appreciated the large eating area and we loved the outdoor patio with the fire pit and pool. The location was great - it was about a 20 minute drive to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and even less to the Griffith Observatory. Very nice and safe location and I would definitely stay here if you're looking for something in the LA area.

We stayed two nights and we had great time in the hotel. We got automatic upgrade to two bedroom suite as Gold Elite member of Marriott. The room is super clean! The check in is fast. All the staffs are nice! We drove from San Francisco to San Diego in 8 days and stayed in 6 different hotels. This hotel is the BEST! We wiil definitely come back and if possible will first consider staying in residence inn in our future travel.

Newer comfortable rooms with full equipped kitchen. We actually didn't even need the kitchen much as the breakfast in the lobby had what we needed (scrambled eggs, toast, fruit, coffee, juices, cereal, etc). We were out and about for lunch and dinner. The desk people were very accommodating and friendly with good advice on where to eat, etc. They have laundry facilities, and they have a small (expensive) store to buy snacks and laundry soap. There are stores nearby however to stock up on those things to put in your room refrigerator. They also have a small fitness center. What to watch for: There is no hot tub, the pool is outside, and parking is priced extra. The parking and check-in is a bit tricky to find. The check-in is inside the parking garage and if you miss the entrance, you can go around the building to an alleyway to get in. Also if you decide to Lyft or Uber, you need to check to see if they arrive in the garage or if they arrive at a door off the street door. Other things: Walking distance to some dinner and lunch restaurants (one is next door) and a comfortable walk to Burbank's shopping district. They have a couple of night a week with activities (we were out and about so didn't do these). Oh, and they also have a gas fire pit outside that we took advantage of. We will go there again.
