The room and grounds are nice but I had a poor sleep due to too much noise. Highway traffic noise is noticeable but could be blocked with ear plugs. The problem was an intermittent loud vibrating noise from the bathroom that woke me up very early morning. Management couldn't figure out the problem and were no help.

Checked in around 8pm, 11/25 for one night, and noticed a few ants in the bathroom. But there was no food or leftovers anywhere from previous guest. Didn’t think anything of it as we left for dinner. Came back and saw some ants were still there in the bathroom before we slept but not enough to make a fuss. The next morning I woke up with ants all over my body, and bed, and bathroom all over and my toothbrushes. Also, there was no shampoo in the shower. Just 2 conditioners. I promptly reported the ants and the missing shampoo, and the front desk messaged me and said maintenance was coming to take care of the ants, and shampoo was on the way. After about 3 hours of waiting, I gave up and left. On my way out, I told the front desk that I wanted a full refund. They offered me free breakfast, but politely declined. I just wanted out of there since they were no help. They also said they would contact me, but as of this writing of this review, 11/29, they have not. I’ve been a Marriot Bonvoy member for decades now and write good and bad reviews. I’ll continue to be a member but wouldn’t stay because quality control and service is below the usual Marriot Bonvoy standard. The property looks aged, but the room seemed renovated.…

The general hotel experience was superior in almost every way. The room, the staff were very good. HOWEVER, I was appalled that there was no free unsecured wifi, then I morning coffee, no matter how poor, was not free. Fortunately, neither of these were a problem, just a disappointment to an otherwise very good stay.

It has been a while since I was at this hotel, so I was interested in our return. Right off CA 101 in the town of Buellton it is only 10 minutes to Solvang and about 20 minutes out to Lompoc on the coast. Since our last stay the rooms have been renovated and our was very nice. The common areas however are tired and need upgrades as well. The restaurant is only open for breakfast (on previous visits it was breakfast and dinner). The lobby bar does serve from a small menu from a tiny open kitchen area next to the bar. Fortunately there a number of restaurants in Buellton and even more in nearby Solvang, also a lot of wineries to visit in the neighboring Santa Ynez Valley.

I stay at a lot of Marriott/Bonvoy properties. This is by no means the most luxurious, but we had an exceptionally good time for one reason. Outstanding staff. Specifically Nadine at the front desk. When she heard we were four ladies on a girls' trip for our 50th anniversary of knowing each other, she went out of her way to look after us. Managers: recognize this outstanding employee. Housekeeping staff was wonderful, as was the breakfast room staff. Having a Starbucks and drinks/dinner options in the lobby was great. The pool was really popular on a warm summer's day. Convenient location. Free parking. Walking distance to several restaurants.

Although I visit buelton on business, I decided to try the Marriott instead of my usual hotel. What I liked about this property was the lay back vibe. The rooms are nicely laid out with plenty of space and outlets for electronics, and a nice selection of cable and internet options. Bed was comfortable, as were linens. Bathroom had nice amenities and two shower head options, towels were also substantial. Carpet was clean, as was room. Only issue this trip was HVAC was not working on heat setting. It got pretty cold at night this particular visit. When you arrive at your room check the HVAC (ac and heating) - so maintenance can deal with it before you turn in for the night. Front desk is very responsive. I also liked the breakfast. Great coffee, fresh orange juice, nice breakfast menu. I plan to stay there during my next business trip in August.…

Two nights here were very nice. The room was spacious and comfortable The bed was very comfortable after driving all day to get to Buellton. Family wedding the next day do we did not use the room much. The breakfast buffet was a treat Has French toast for the first time in years. Will definitely try this place next time for sure. Lots of Tesla vehicles in the parking lot made it look like a used car lot.

This is my last stay in this hotel. After a couple visit and share my experience I like to give it a new chance and see if they improve it. Unfortunately was one of the worst experiences. Key in app and other futures doesn’t work properly, hallways in a top floors smell food from the restaurant kitchen, room smell really bad and AC didn’t work fine. Carpet full of stains and you don’t like to know what happened when I use my black light. I’m sorry , yes, I’m talking about Marriott hotel NO the M6 next to it, where are the Marriott standard and promises? The one think I need to highlight are the good customer service and employees actitud they made your hotel shine they are the only value that you have.
