Pea Soup Andersen's Inn is the gateway to the Santa Ynez Valley. We are minutes away from the charming Danish Town, Solvang, the inspired Western Town of Santa Ynez and the quaint village of Los Olivos. The epic Wine Country of the Central Coast surrounded by beautiful mountains and just a short drive to the beaches. Enjoy a day in the country and return to the Inn for a dip in the pool and chat around the firepits.

Detailed Reviews
It's close to the freeway but far enough that the noise from the freeway doesn't bother one. Restaurants and gas stations are next door. The rooms have a full-sized closet, two large dressers, a fridge, a microwave, very clean water to drink from the faucet, a patio door connecting to the pool, a golf putting green, and breakfast consisting of pastries from Solvang, reasonably priced.

Always wonderful, comfortable, and consistent. The owners wife, Terry, is so lovely and accommodating. They offer a simple danish and muffin complementary breakfast, including toast, coffee, tea, and juices. They have a wonderful heated pool, a bocce ball area, and some nice outdoor seating area as well. Very close to supermarkets in restaurants in the area.

I can't say enough about this gem in Buellton! My biggest compliment goes to the entire staff at Pea Soup Inn, all of them are friendly, accommodating and after our recent 6 day stay (family of 6 adults) there just aren't enough words to tell you what a deal this place is. Largest pool I've seen in the area, corn hole, putting green, hot tub, fireside tables to enjoy your favorite wine after a day of sightseeing. The best Danish in town served every a.m. with continental breakfast. There is also a small but nice laundry room which was a bonus because we arrived with 5 out of 6 soaked suitcases and had to dry all our clothes. Noise from other rooms? Meh ..... minimal and you'll find that at any hotel/motel, been coming to Solvang for 30 years.

Despite putting the privacy sign on my door, the maid came into my room while I was out. I spoke with the front desk person who was unapologetic and just said, "Yes, all of housekeepers clean the rooms everyday, regardless." I spoke with the manager the next day who was more apologetic, and assured it wouldn't happen again, but it did.
Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

Very nice and friendly staff. I usually call the hotel when making a reservation, just so to confirm it was received, the staff member was very pleasant on the phone. She confirmed my stay and assured me the room requested would be waiting for me. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very pleasant lady at check-in. I was able to check-in a little early too. Covid safe hotel, very clean and masks are to be worn, in the hotel lobby and walking around the hotel grounds. If you plan to use the spa tub or pool, they require the guest to reserve it, theres a sign in sheet at check-in. Rooms were very spacious and clean and they appeared to have been reserved with social distancing in mind. The pool and spa tub were appeared very clean. This hotel had one of the most inviting courtyards, places to sit, BBQs for hotel guests, and a cute little miniature golf area. Room had a balcony, small refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker... beds were clean and very comfortable. Definitely a great stay and definitely will be back.

First, there is only one Pea Soup Andersen's restaurant still operating in the US and the one in Buellton closed near the end of 2023. The restaurant was in a HUGE building adjacent to the motel. Over the top faux Danish architecture suitable for use as a haunted house next Halloween. It has a much better chance of becoming haunted than re-developed. That having been said . . .
This is just a big old motel pinching pennies to stay open. It has a giant pool which is clean, but no umbrellas or other provision of shade around it. In June, a polar bear would have been at home in the water. Do you see the brightly lit little pagoda like thing in the picture? Its locked up and there's nothing inside.
TV is basic cable, and no menu or channel guide to help out. Other reviews have complained about the noise level from the TVs in adjacent rooms. We experienced the same thing! We considered banging on the wall but they are paper thin and clearly not bullet proof, which we sensed might be a concern. On the positive side wifi worked most of the time. Housekeeping is provided daily without having to ask.
The main virtue of this place is that is located within 5 minutes of Solvang. You can save some money by staying here rather than there.

If you are handicapped or if carrying your luggage up a flight of stairs is difficult, you need to mention this so that they give you a first-floor room. We managed. It was a comfortable sleep, then we were awoken by a child running and screaming along the outdoor hallway at 7:30 a.m. There are signs outside indicating "Quiet Times" These are not enforced. Don't know if I would stay again.

Our family chose 2 rooms here rather than the more expensive ones in Solvang which is a few miles away. The service was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable, although not fancy. The breakfast was continental which was fine for us as this was near the end of a road trip which involved eating much more than we would at home. We used this as a base to walk around Solvang.

The hotel was a good value. The room was large and comfortable. There was a small fridge and microwave in the room as well as a patio area connected to the room. The front desk staff were very helpful. The complimentary continental breakfast in the morning was nice. Because of COVID restrictions all items were packaged for take out (either your room our outdoor seating). Nice selection of items to choose from (including danishes - probably from nearby Solvang). There is a small putting area (golf balls and clubs available in the reception area), bean bag toss and pool. The hotel is adjacent to Pea Soup Andersen's restaurant.

Pea Soup Andersen’s Inn provided a quiet, clean, comfortable place for our family of 5 to spend the night. With a Roll-away bed we fit i to a double Queen room and the room had a tv, coffeemaker, fridge, microwave, desk, etc. etc. Everything we needed. Beds were super comfortable - even the rollaway was good quality. The room was very clean and the breakfast was ‘grab n go’ style w real Danishes, muffins, juice, and coffee.
We stayed off season for $110 in total. Great value price and we are very happy!!

I have no idea. You may want to check the casino web site or call them
We do offer our shuttle service. We require guests to make a reservation in order be able to accommodate requests. Thank you.
We are not pet friendly hotel. Thank you for the question.
I am fairly sure that the pool is open as there is really no such thing was "Winter" in Southern California. You could contact the hotel to verify with them, as they are so helpful.
