I've visited on 19th of July on a wonderful and hot summer day with the company of nine. The place next to the river, renting boats, table tennis etc. are superb. We were served one beer brand in the glasses of another company by a waitress wearing Coca Cola apron and Cocta (concurrent drink) t-shirt but it wouldn't bother. It took them more than one hour after our order was placed to tell that the pizzas are still not ready and won't be for a while, so we left! In the meantime they only served food to a few other customers so it was not the amount of people that would make us wait. We ate there several times before out of peak hours and it was much better. They urgently need a responsible person to take charge and improve the organisation of service and kitchen.

So we decided to take a one day trip to Žužemberk to go canoeing on river Krka and this placed had a great offer. The nature is beautiful, the canoeing itself is very relaxing, we were there on friday at 1pm and we were the only one on the river so this made it even better. Some people swim in the river, but it's very cold :) And dont be afraid of few mosquitos and dragonflies.
The food at the place is average. 10 minutes before we came from the river, there was an oranized bus of tourist that came for lunch, si we waited a bit longer for food, but the service was good and waitirs were very very friendly. I would definetely recommend this place and i will go there again for sure.

Dirty tables, slow service, high prices, terrible taste of food, the location is pretty nice but that’s all that is positive at this place. We ate mushrooms with eggs and fried cheese and potatoes-everything was tasteless and serviced without feeling. So sorry for this nice location.

Would give it a zero if I could. Owner was rude, sleepy service, poor food quality. Unprofessional, unwilling to listen to costumer needs. Due to recent floods in Slovenia, tap water in that area is undrinkable. As a result, they charged us 2,20€ for every 0.5-liter bottle of water, which featured their own brand logo and was over experation date.

It is such a nice place with nice people. We had lunch and it was full house. We got our food fast and the service was so nice. After lunch we sat outside on the sun for some dessert and coffee. Great view of the castle and the river. We trully recommend.

My wife and I stumbled upon this little family-run hotel in about 2011 when we visited Slovenia for sightseeing and to discover family members we had lost touch with over the last century. On our first night I asked the English speaking receptionist if she knew of any town members with a certain surname. The next morning her father invited some of my distant family members to lunch - what a treat!
The hotel sat across the street from the "lodge" and the accommodation itself was modest and nice - lots of wood (pine?) in the room. The "lodge" or restaurant was nice and offered typical Slovenian fare. This is a nice little place to stay if you're passing through town or want to explore the beautiful countryside of the Zuzemberk region!

Came across Koren gostinstvo in turizem while travelling from Munich to Croatia on honeymoon . It is the most idyllic setting , absolutely beautiful. Fishing on the riverside from the campsite , then relaxing with a few pints in the restaurant/bar while also enjoying the amazing scenery. Kids swimming in the river and playing volleyball and other sports in the local park, directly opposite from the campsite . Supermarket is 5min walk which has all food and drink needed, also has an ATM. The restaurant/ campsite is owned by a local and very hardworking family .
The three daughters were very welcoming and done absolutely everything for us. Will never forget this most memorable stay as Marusa, one of the families daughters, took us to a local Slovenian dance night and to date it was one of our best nights of our honeymoon so far. We will happily accommodate her on any visit to Ireland . We are delighted we came across this hidden gem as it is not advertised on the internet . Zuzembirk you have been great And from this day on Slovenia will hold a special place in our hearts and Marusa.

I come here often with family. This is a very nice place, perfect food and very good staff. They have good pizzas and various meat meals.
Well also make here family picnic with my research group from university.
I highly recommend this place!
