If you want to spend a budget priced night near Anza Borrego Desert State Park while avoiding a motel with spa fees or one deemed “retro”: this is for you. The 8 room motel is ideally located for entering the Park and seeing Borrego Springs. Owner Kenny is extremely friendly and helpful providing information about the area’s “must sees”, places...

No TV, artwork, carpet, or colorful walls. If this doesn't bother you then you are left with an immaculately clean, utilitarian room within walking distance to the heart of Borrego Springs. Additional plusses include a super-friendly and helpful host; rooms w/ refrigerator, toaster oven (nice addition), microwave, AC and ceiling fan; and plenty of hot water in the shower. Lovely...

A gem in the desert. Have stayed here many times and love the place. Clean and quiet with very friendly owners, and walking distance to "downtown" Borrego. The beds are excellent and the rooms are equipped with coffee machine, toaster and fridge.

Kenny and Bonni have a nice solar-powered little place here. It's comfortable and has the essentials for a good stay while exploring the desert in the surrounding desert wilderness or star gazing in the Dark Sky near this desert community. We stayed in the one room with twin beds. I'd read TA reviews stating that the mattresses here are the...

What an amazing place....it offers accommodation without wifi, tv, phone, out in the desert, total peace and quiet. Very friendly welcome from owners and their dog, lovely pool area, surrounded by mountains and desert, spotless accommodation. Extreme, comfortable bed. Microwave and fridge, and air conditioning. In the middle of beautiful state park land. Very reasonable price for location. Wild life...

We stayed in a pet friendly (small dog) queen room for 2 nights. The motel is small, with limited number of rooms, but we liked that. The bed was real comfy and we slept great. The room was big enough and had a small table. It had tile floors which is great if you have a dog. It was clean...

This place was perfect for me. I was a refugee from the Palm Canyon Campground during a storm. Couldn't stay in a tent and it was even too cold in the car so I had to find a place fast. I didn't want luxury, because I was in a camping mood, but I won't stay in a cheap, seedy place...

Our group of three couples enjoyed our stay here over night while touring locations of interest in the desert. While we was tired from a day of bouncing on desert roads this motel offered some of the best sleeping we have ever experienced - these memory foam mattresses are great. The host, Kenny, was friendly and provided us with some...

We visited in the winter when the days are short and the evenings very cool. The room was small, clean and simple. There was little to do at night, no Wifi, no tv. Besides the bars and eateries, Borrego Springs isn't exactly booming with night life. This place would not feel so confining in the warmer months as there is...

We have often camped here in the desert, and prize the time of quiet and peace when camping. This small, well kept, and lowcost motel is the best fine we have found in quite some time. The hosts are loaded with local information, and directed us to flower and food locations that were spot on. No TV, no internet, thought...

“#1 is the only unit with two beds (twins) and is closest to the owners' unit and the road. #8 is at the other end and is closest to the pool, so both of these only have one common wall. While all the rooms have two chairs and a table outside them, there is a larger outdoor patio at the end next to #8 that would be a good space if a group of you wanted a gathering place.”
