Pluses: dog friendly, nicely decorated, large hot tub, close to restaurants, great views of the bay, fair breakfast included, refrigerator and microwave included, this is a non smoking facility Cons: the bathroom could be cleaner, there are windows above the bathroom mirror that were painted over for privacy or something ( but look gross), people smoke on the patios/balconies and it carries to other rooms

A comfortable bed with crisp linens, clean bedroom, room darkening draperies, very quiet, in a spacious room. Had nice amenities such as balcony with table and 2 chairs, small MW & refrigerator, coffee maker, hot tub. Came close to being a really nice place if management/ owners would go the extra step, but has several issues. Primarily, the room temperature, was impossible to control. A single wall heater in the bedroom didn't heat room sufficiently. Also, heater was noisy and had a dusty vent, which required being turned off in order to sleep. No heater exists in bathroom area, which is located as far away as possible from the one wall heater. Cold. Sliding glass door opening to balcony was almost impossible to slide. Water damage on wall around shower. Air quality was possible affected as had slight odor.

Choosing lodging from a website is frustrating. You expect the rooms to look as clean and fresh as the photos. This was not the case for our stay. Stained sheets, hair in bathroom sink, floor needed vacuum, screen sliding door broken, and trash from previous guest. The property is run down, and seems to be an extended stay for local workers. Only redeeming thing is view of bay across the street.

What a gorgeous setting! The grounds are lovely, complete with a garden hot tub and ocean access. The room was large, comfortable, and had refrig. and microwave. The heater was ancient, but worked fairly well. Steve was helpful: on the phone before arrival, he helped me find a room with a great view of the bay. Once arrived, he was very friendly, as was Karla in the breakfast room. Breakfast was typical, so neither great nor bad, just the usual cereal, pastries, waffle maker. Missing was cut fruit, though there were whole oranges and apples. It was great to have hard boiled eggs---thanks! If you are looking for a quiet escape to natural beauty, this is your place!

The Good: Great location with a nice view over a shallow lagoon. Lots of birds to see and nature trails down to the beach if you like a nice hike. balconies are well set up to sit outside and take in the view. The Bad: Seriously overpriced. Not worth half of what they charge. Rooms are pretty average and what you would expect in a $120 property. Zero extras! Not even a bottle of water or a pen and writing pad by the phone. Grumpy guy on reception when we checked in who actually gave out a huge sigh of frustration when I asked him to repeat his directions to the room! Not exactly a nice welcome to the hotel! The Ugly: The rooms are poorly maintained. Mold in the bathrooms on the shower walls and tiled floor. A good shot of Tilex mold remover would take all this off! Mismatched and loose tiles on the floor. Silicon sealer around the bathtub full of mold and breaking off. Poorly maintained. Nothing quality or first class about this place but they are charging you a fortune for it! And finally - The pathetic Breakfast! No hot food, Just cereal, bagels, cheap muffins and packets of instant oatmeal. You leave with the feeling that these pathetic offerings are simply for the owners convenience and easy on his wallet. We left feeling pretty well ripped off! This hotel is Not Recommended by Oldbackpack. Go somewhere else!
