I'm giving this campground 4 stars b/c we couldn't bring our dogs on the beach. You could bring your dogs all 17 miles of the Sonoma coast, except here. Bummer! Otherwise, it was beautiful. Some sites were very beautiful, some sites, not so much. We stayed at site #1. The view was amazing. Nice site, would come back again (without... More

My husband and I parked our small RV in site #25 for Mother's Day weekend. If you have ever seen the show Malcolm in the Middle, I feel as if two of those families were on either side of us...and I'm referring to the latter seasons where they also had a baby. It was constant noise and baby screaming nonsense... More

We arrived and the State Employee at the gate was a total freak. I got out of my truck because he was trying to yell form inside his little booth so I was going to walk up to the window. I was the only one at the gate and not holding anyone up. He freaked out and demanded I return... More

Pros: Close to town. Many spaces to choose from. Clean. Cons: Spaces are small. Privacy is little to none. Traffic noise from close by road. No nice views I could find. Feels like a sandy backyard with the nice sonoma weather.

This is a great campground if you don't mind being around a bunch of people. The campsites are fairly large with a picnic table, fire-pit and food storage area. We camped across from the bathrooms - flush toilets, hot water, free showers, dish washing station and a water spout (say what?!). Super fancy! We fit 3 cars and 3 tents... More

Large campsites with privacy. Very nice bathroom facilities. Free showers when we were there in Aug 2015. Kids ran around and played for hours on the dunes. Cons: not really close to the water. We didn't even attempt the long hike in the sand down to the water access from the campground. But a quick drive to MANY different beaches.... More

This campground is wonderful! We were able to get reservations, but had to do 1 day at a time so we had to check in with the Ranger each day but did not have to move at all. These sites can be reserved but need to be picked out upon arrival. So, we knew we had a site, just didn't... More

Nice attendant. Big spots with privacy. Close to beach Marian and restaurants. The town is small but can get crowded. Best time to go is probably mid week especially in the summer. Mild temperatures. Clean grounds.

great campground and you select your own site. Ours was secluded, smallish lot but room for 2 tents and included a food locker, picnic table as well as a firepit with a cooking grate. Actual restrooms with hot water and showers available as well. Fresh water however it tastes a little odd so bring your own. We brought our firewood... More
