I booked this with a $35 cancellation fee and knew there was a ridiculous “resort” fee I was paying in addition to the room rate — in a word, the usual “resort fee” nonsense. So I get my booking confirmation from Orbitz and BOOM, the restaurant is going to be closed. OK, fine. So I cancel. Why the heck do I have to pay $70 to cancel two rooms when WHAT IS BOOKED ISN’T ACTUALLY AVAILABLE? This is fraud.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa. We booked a hillside room midweek; the room was really spacious and wonderfully decorated and even had a wood burning fireplace. The hotel provided snacks and a large bottle of water, which we really appreciated. The pool area was quaint and relaxing to lounge around, and the indoor hot tub was wonderful. We had great fun at the small putting green and enjoyed the stroll around the property to the pond and saw some Longhorns grazing. The resort showed a movie in the evening and we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit, watching the movie and making s’mores! The location is a few miles from Bodega Bay and convenient for hiking Bodega Head/Bay trail and enjoying fresh seafood in that area. We had a wonderful time and it is definitely my favorite place now for a quick get away!…
Stayed at the king suite with a wood burning fireplace, small enclosed courtyard, small fridge and keurig coffee maker. Breakfast included, served in their nice dining room. Grounds are beautiful. Nice hot tub. 10 minute drive to Bodega Bay. There’s a cute library up a spiral staircase off the lobby. Friendly staff.
My friend and I enjoyed a 2 night midweek stay in a lovely and spacious poolside deluxe room with a fireplace. The breakfast is ample and delicious with indoor and outdoor seating. We enjoyed many of the resort’s special touches, such as the make your own s’mores at the outdoor fire pit and the couple’s massages at the spa. Nick in reception and Rachel our masseuse were attentive and friendly. I look forward to visiting again next time!
Stayed here this weekend and was impressed by the property, the amenities provided, and hospitality the staff showed. Nick gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and gave us a tour of the property on the way to our room. There was welcome drinks ready for us, along with snacks. So much thought has been put into surprising and delighting guests at this property - from the welcome to the evening movies & s'mores. We'll be back!
What a find! Beautiful grounds. The staff is 5 star! I can't wait to go back! My puppies loved it too! Dog friendly. More for a romantic adult stay. Night time movies by the fire and complimentary smores! When we stayed it was 70 degrees so we even relaxed by the pool. On Saturday night they brought in a mobil pizza oven and wine! AMAZING!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the room had a huge stone fireplace, two sinks in a big bathroom, the option to sit outside with a fire pit and watch videos of your choice, the grounds were so pleasant. The staff were so accommodating. Definitely would come back.
We found this resort by accident and would love to go back! The individual villas have private, closed door/open air entry ways. The heated floors are a delight on a cool night. I couldn’t help but use the in-room hot tub, even though it was a warm evening. Hiked around the property in the morning. The continental breakfast was superb with muffins and breads from a local bakery and fresh fruits!
We almost missed the turn off to this place as it looked like a place that should be growing grapes instead of hosting tourists. I didn't know what to expect as this was one of our pricier hotels on our 10-day CA Coastal road trip, and the other similar-priced hotel in Monterey was a huge letdown. We had also gotten an email that there was no A/C and no restaurant on site, so we got our dinner to go before checking in. Thankfully, Sonoma Coast Villa was lovely, and our room was huge, with a separate living room space complete with fireplace. The shower was the best of our journey, with a rain shower-type feel and great water pressure. We were near the pool and jacuzzi and both were fabulous. The staff and fellow travelers were friendly and charming. The no A/C was not an issue as it was quite cool there in July, and I noticed a large fan in the closet, which we did not need. A continental breakfast was delivered to our room in a lovely basket, complete with muffin/pastry, O.J., yogurt and fruit. Sonoma Coast Villa is in a convenient location, about 15-20 minutes from Sebastopol, and not far from the tiny town of Bodega and Bodega Bay. We really enjoyed our time there and wished we could have stayed longer!…
Stayed in the least expensive set of rooms towards the back of the property and was so pleased -- large room and bathroom, private patio. Very comfortable, cushy bed. I was concerned about all rooms being pet friendly, but our room and linens were clean and smelled nice. Staff gave a warm welcome and quickly toured the grounds, including a little putting green and path to a pond with chairs set out. Lots of trees and birds. Easy access to Bodega Bay. Staff will provide filtered water. Keurig coffee maker in the room. Continental breakfast delivered to your door.
