Spent a recent afternoon fishing at South Lake with a group of 10 family and friends. Rented two motor boats from Parchers. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. While we only caught one fish the entire afternoon we had an amazing time on the lake enjoying the stunning beauty of the eastern Sierras. It was great to have a... More

Have been coming up to Bishop Canyon For 18 years and this was our best trip yet! We had a great time fishing and staying at Parchers Resort! I would recommend this this resort to anyone who wants to get away from it all and enjoy the majesty of the Eastern Sierras!!!

Parchers is an amazing, beautiful tranquil camp site with a stream running through its property. There's a wide variety of hiking trails to choose from. It is located close to Lake Sabrina, South Lake, North Lake & a few other lakes that are loaded with fish. The cabins are nice, comfortable & super clean. Do not expect TV nor internet... More

My family has been coming here since 2001! It's rustic and well run. The hiking is intermediate to advanced due to altitude and steep beauty. The cabins vary in size. Rainbow Pack Station shares the land (horseback riding). Parchers is at 9,400ft elevation, so spend the first day hanging around to adjust before any physical exercise. Hiking? Bring map, water,... Parcher’s Resort Review Stayed late May 2016 before Memorial Day. No doubt the place is booked solid that weekend and throughout the summer season. Very pleasant and informative young fellow at desk when we arrived. Office/store has a delightful wood-buring stove which was just what the doc ordered when we arrived. Smell of wood burning with snow falling outside was... More

Overnighted in one of Parchers' 20 cabins the day before we started our hike on the John Muir Trail. The folks at Parchers were as nice as can be, offering great service and very friendly and helpful local info. If hiking/traveling with a group, be sure as about their hikers cabins. The hike up to Bishop Pass was absolutely beautiful,... More

We have been going to Parchers Resort for many years. It is a great spot for hiking, fishing or just relaxing. The cabins are very comfortable and come equipped with everything you need. There is a picnic table, chairs, and fire ring outside every cabin. A very nice buffet breakfast is provided in the main lodge every morning for an... More

We stayed in Cabin 3 one night to acclimatize before going over Bishop Pass. It is the only cabin offered for that purpose and the only one you can rent for one night I was told. No sheets, minimal kitchen and bathroom. Just fine for our purposes. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Had a plumbing problem (our... More

Cabin (#26) was very clean and well stocked. (kitchenware and towels). Problem with wall heater the first night/first full day. Staff provided a small space heater and extra blankets which was fine. Fixed the second day by contracted utilities company. Very nice breakfast but didn't take advantage (wish coffee was complimentary for guests) and store is well stocked for its... More
