A unique experience. The people are very nice. Service is good. Food is good too. (Please get more Western food items for breakfast; also for us Indonesian folks.
The JOGLO Rooms are interesting. Get some more 3-4 star upgrades in these rooms: Lighting, good TV channels, Bathrooms! Good rates. Book direct!!
Beautiful Tropical Garden. Nice walking paths; nice pool (wish they would have umbrellas and mattress on the lounge chairs); nice fitness center

I am staying in this hotel with my husband in September 2012.
My cousin held the wedding in the park area, so we decided to stay in the hotel as well.
I am staying in room no.103.
This hotel is in soft launch opening, therefore there's still things to build/add/repaired. Which means not yet all the facilities are complete.
(+ ) We love the "joglo" buildings (joglo is a Javanese house), it looks vintage, original and antique. I love all the wood pattern, the decoration, the furniture, the paintings. All is done in details and original following Javanese house principles.
Gathering in the joglo terrace is a must do thing with your family and friends.
The room is decor like a old grannie room, with vintage furniture. Those who love the Javanese old style will love it. The bathroom is large with shower, stone basin and sink.
The breakfast is yummy : fried rice, chicken sauto, noodle, toast, coffee, tea and fruits. And we can do breakfast in the restaurant room or in our own jogjlo terrace.
The garden is nicely manicured, with statues, fish pond, green vines, etc. The cafe is very nice as well. Full of vintage and antiques.
(-) The swimming pool is not yet done.
There is no desk lamp in the room, which necessary for doing make up or desk writting
The WIFI only in front office area (They mentioned that the WIFI will be applicable to room area as well)
There is no international TV channel in the room.
I am looking forward to see this place when all facilities are ready! And will be visit again.

Beautiful resort build with authentic antique Javanese Joglo houses - which were taken from its original locations and were rebuild in the resort and converted into a hotel. Decorated with antiquities, providing a traditional warm Javanese atmosphere to the hotel.
The resort also provides an excellent view: the adjacent rice field and Mt.Ungaran in the background.
Service is excellent, staff were super friendly and welcoming - and quickly accomodate our request to cchange room at it smelt stale of cigarette smoke and upgraded us different rooms and duty manager even came up to apologize personally.
The resort does not have much facilities aside of the swimming pool (a spa.would be great here!)
The breakfast was great - while the choices was not as many but served great traditional Indonesian dishes as well old-style breads.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Beautiful and interesting hotel filled with mostly period Javanese antiques, has an excellent restaurant, and VERY comfortable beds. Staff is pleasant personable, warm, friendly, and VERY accommodating. There is a pool, a few bicycles, and gardens for early morning walks. Buildings (appear as small cottages) called Joglo's have large sleeping rooms (many with 2 double beds), AC, wifi, phones, table or desk, and a television with a few stations in English. The large bathrooms have showers, large basin sinks, and western toilets. Meals are Indonesian but the menu has a few American type items to order. There are immaculate grounds and so many antiques that every walk through the property lends itself to seeing something previously unseen. The property owner also owns rice paddy fields on one side of the property where they teach and demonstrate to students Javanese culture that includes maintaining rice paddy's. There is also a Musholla on the resort property. There are many stores in the area outside the resort property but too much traffic to walk to them. Restaurants and a couple of bakery's are within a few miles for more variety of food. Can't wait to return to the Balemong Resort in the city of Ungaran, Indonesia.

We stayed in room no. 309 with rice field view as mountain view are not available:(
The room is a bit small but they have good amenities and free wifi. The hotel area is very huge so it takes a golf cart to take you from the reception area to your room/villa..the swimming pool also ok. There are some options for breakfast so you don't need to worry to get hungry. I love the ambience as it reminds me to my grandma's house. Will come again for sure and recommend to my colleague.
