Stayed for one night as the location looked ideal for a quick stopover. I wished i had looked at other places. We stayed in the double trailer (house they call it) and it would have been ok if it was clean. It was absolutely filthy. Dead insects and general grime.

This typical budget motel also offers a double wide trailer for nightly use. This allowed all of us to stay in one place instead of two separated rooms with a table to play games on. The good aspects ended there. The place was filthy including dead cockroach. Swept the floors and got two dust pans of dirt, insects and dog food. Wiped off table provided for eating on and soiled the rag dark gray on both sides. There were cobwebs in corners and on the ceiling. We were very uncomfortable due to the cleanliness.

Bristlecone is your basic budget motel in Big Pine with some rooms including a kitchenette. The rooms were basic and beds comfortable. I was surprised to see a good size flat screen TV with lots of channels. The wall heater wasn't working, so they provided a space heater.

We booked here after reading the reviews and wanting somewhere between Yosemite and Death Valley, this place ticked the boxes. Super comfy beds, clean and tidy and helpful staff both on check in and check out. I wouldn’t stay here for days at a time but perfect for a night or two, especially if you need a space for 5 people.

Booked this motel in transit to Vegas from SF. Two twins plus one single fits 5 persons comfortably. There is dining table and big table on the back for dish washing. The room itself is huge. Very roomy. Very recommended.
