My husband and I spent 2 nights here on Thanksgiving weekend just to get out of the city and get some fresh air. Starlight Motel was selected based on previous reviews, and they were all spot on. The rooms were spotless, very comfortable and Tushar the innkeeper was genuinely friendly and commodating. Each morning there was a table set up... More

We stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are basic but clean and cozy. We had a little fridge for our cream and a coffee pot to make our coffee each morning. Enjoyed walks up the street along the creek and dinners at Rossi's and the Country Kitchen. Tushar and his wife were excellent hosts.... More

We stayed one night and were made very welcome by Tushar the owner who was rightly proud of the level of service he was providing. The comfort and quality of the bed, linen and towels were excellent and the quality of the cleaning high. Although breakfast was not included in the price we were offered fresh fruit, juice and muesli... More

When we arrived we were friendly welcomed. We just came from death valley and were on our way to Yosemite NP. We had a long journey behind us, the host welcomed us and offered juice and snacks :) thanks for this. The room was equipped with everything we needed, very clean and nothing to complain about. Thanks for the many... More

On our way from Vegas to Tahoe we were looking for a place to spend the night. Booking.com directed us to Starlight Motel. The reception could not have been any better. The owner enthusiastically does anything he can to make sure you are comfortable. There was a little mishap with our Booking.com booking, the owner successfully helped us out with... More

I love big pine and the eastern sierra and have stayed at the Starlight for years. used to be a nice little place-- your basic 50's motel run by good people with local roots. then the new owners took over and doubled the prices. for $69, it's a good place for a couple of nights. for $128, it's a rip-off... We were looking for affordable overnight accommodation on the road as we traveled south to Los Angeles for our return flight to Australia the next day. My wife booked the Starlight based on the reviews of other travelers but when we arrived I was a little sceptical at first glance. However, I had no need to worry as the other... More

We crashed on this motel by a case. After a night in the mountains is motel was the best option we found. Before going ahead, please remember we are in the middle of nowhere, you need a place where to spend the night and the price is balanced for the situation. We paid 98 dollars for 1 night, I do... On our way from Yosemite to Death Valley/Las Vegas we were looking for a place to stay the night. Since it was late the two other Motels in Big Pine were already full and we were happy to get a room in the Starlite Motel.
