The location was within walking distance of Pine Knot Village and the Lake. We stayed in the "suite," which was large and roomy, with comfortable beds and a comfortable sofa and loveseat. The room appeared to have been recently remodeled. The staff did a fabulous job accomodating the late check-in and early departure times necessitated by my work schedule. Kudos to Samantha and Marisol!!

From some of the pictures and reviews I was a bit worried about what we would find when we got there. But we had a great two nights in the best snow storm Big Bear has had in years!!! The property is next to an empty lot, so as the fresh snow continued to fall from the sky, our kids only had to take sleds to that lot to have a great snow day. We had brought our own sleds, but they had two set out for guests that were available our entire stay. They also had snow shovels and windshield scrapers to get your car out of the snow. The room had more space than I was expecting, and the fire place worked perfectly to dry out all our soggy snow clothes. The staff was very helpful with any questions we had. The only thing that was tricky about the location is that there were no useable sidewalks because of the heavy snow, so we had to drive to do everything, get breakfast, get our ski rentals, etc. This would not be a problem if we weren’t there during a snow storm. I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location and hotel! Close to all the shops and village. There is a big open green area next to the hotel. Had a great time playing in the snow and built a big snowman too. Easy to walk to the lake. Plenty of parking too. The family room suite has been recently renovated. Bedroom includes two beds and plenty of drawer space. Living room is spacious with kitchenette, two couches, and a fireplace. The bathroom is probably only thing that was "ok". the shower wasn't that strong and there was only one sink. Not enough shelf space for our toiletries. There is continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Coffee, juice, hot chocolate, pastries, bagels and cream cheese and fruit. that's it. one of the better hotels we've stayed at in big bear. It's not as rustic as other cabins, but i like the modern touches and central location. please do not build next to the hotel! it's nice to have some open area to hang out.

Great and very affordable place to stay in Big Bear! Located on the main strip and just a block away from The Village shops! Also a short walk to the lake! Stayed here in the winter and had the luxury of a wood burning fireplace! Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Stayed in the family suite and was nice for a group of 5 (four adults and a teen).

Paid for an upgrade at discounted price. Room was a bit tired and frayed at the edges, but clean and spacious - kitchen, log burner, etc. Immediate surroundings not particularly attractive - scruffy trailer park adjacent, but convenient location for local bars/restaurants/shops. Nice friendly staff. Overall, about the right price for what you get.
