A lovely pine tree filled campground that is huge! Most of the full hookups r wide. many more dry camp sites. Super clean all around. Friendly employees and hosts. Very quiet at night even tho close to road. Noise isn't an issue. Nice walking/bike path close along lakeside. Didn't have an opportunity to visit bathrooms but heard frm other campers... More

Review is specifically for camp ground #131 in Lakeview Loop. Overall, I highly recommend this campground. Pros: -Affordable (think of it as a 1000 star hotel with a price of $$...can't beat that :)) -Check-in/Check-out process is a breeze (rangers were super nice to us & answered all questions) -Family/kid friendly/pet friendly (seen many dogs here & they do not... My family and I camped here for 5 days in July, 2016. The campsite was spacious and shady. The Rangers were friendly and informative. The restrooms and showers were super clean and free, the best I have seen at a camp ground. The location is amazing and within walking distance to the lake. It's scenic and so relaxing. Yes, the... Serrano campground is a federal campground on the North side of Big Bear lake. Heavily wooded location just a short walk to Big Bear lake. A great escape from the high temps. at home. Well kept and maintained by a friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend this campground!

The pros: 1. Literally the cleanest bathrooms and showers I have ever seen camping - and we have camped in MANY places in California. Consider me impressed. 2. There are many bathrooms and showers, so no matter where your site is, its not far. 3. The walking/biking trail is fantastic - beautiful scenery and plant life. 4. They greeted our... More

We stayed here for 2 nights/3 days in July. Stayed in the double campsite (115/116?) with a couple of other family. One night, it got unexpectedly cold for some so be prepared for cold mountain weather. Overall, very nice location so close to LA. We went kayaking and bobsledding in the town across the lake. Good: * 5 minute walk... More

I want to express how absolutely wonderful, friendly, helpful and hard working the husband and wife Camp Hosts that was across from our campsite were. We have tent camped many, many times at this campground and this by far was the best hosts ever! The bathrooms were clean, and so were the showers. The sites were kept ready for the... More

My family and I stayed at the Serrano Campground for 3 days to escape the heat of Las Vegas and boy what a treat it was! The campsite was spacious, shady, close to the bathrooms and water spigots. Daily temperatures averaged at 90 degrees... A huge relief from the 115 degrees in Vegas! We loved the space of our campsite... More
