A great experience, very friendly and so nice surroundings. The rise fields are really beautiful. The cabins are simply but are clean and have a good bed. The food is really great and the help from the owners is beyond....... A good place to stay for a couple of days to relax and to see the surroundings.

Run by a family with a lot of efforts to keep an open, calm atmosphere. Meals are great, home made, cottages nice and quiet, surroundings with many attractions and places to visit. Worth to spend two, or three nights. Alina and Marek

My group spent a night in Abdi Homestay. We found this place not just through TripAdvisor (seems like it's popular with foreigners), but also Indonesian blogs. Access to the inn is limited to a small vehicle only because of the bridge built to connect is too small. Small MPV should be no problem, but the car I rent, a medium... More

The accommodation is lovely, but it's very basic. Indonesian shower, which consists of throwing a small bucket of cold water on yourself, and no toilet roll or bidet. I think you're meant to splash the bucket of water on yourself after the toilet? So bring your own toilet roll and hand sanitiser, as no sink. Mosquito net was full of... More

We had a very peaceful couple of days staying at Abdi’s (run by Iqbal and his wife Noni). It’s a beautiful location in front of sheer cliffs, looking out over rice paddies and you can hear birds, crickets and monkeys calling. The dinners are really good and you pay whatever you consider fair for these. The rooms are basic, (but... More

For the price, it was so worth it. Simple cottage, basic amenities, but magnificent views. Yogi was extremely helpful and the staff we were so courteous. A lot of mosquitoes but they do provide mosquito net. Nice place to relax and chill, read a book or laze in the hammock. The trails were great as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 days and nights there, simply chilling out and reading on the veranda (no wifi, not a problem!), chatting with the neighbours or Ikhbal and his family, or going for long walks in both directions along the beautiful valley. I was given many fruits to taste from the garden: sugar cane, soursop, pomelo, wild guava. The... More

Simple but clean hut in amazing location. Friendly owners and meals available, including banana pancakes for breakfast. Could only stay one day but wished I stayed longer. As others describe, cold shower and simple facilities but comfortable and a truly stunning location.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights. The location really is very beautiful and I haven't slept so well anywhere else in ages. The staff was lovely and Iwal was an excellent guide for our one day trek into the mountains where we had beautiful views and we could jump off a tree for a swim in a... More

Harau Valley is very beautiful, surrounded by towering limestone cliffs and set within lush green rice fields. It makes a great escape for a day or two. We stayed at Abdi's Homestay for 2 nights, enjoying a days countryside trekking on our one full day there. Our hut was basic but comfortable; the only downside was the lack of a... More
