The Beverly Hills Hotel is my favorite place in the whole world...hands down! My daughter is in college now, but when she was about eight years old, I started taking her there at least once a year...usually two or three times. We love staying there, and when we're not there, we're planning our next trip there. Why do we love it? Well, the grounds are gorgeous! The interiors are incredible.! The exteriors are exquisite! The service is superb! But for us, what it all comes down to is this: the people who work there make the place what it is! I don't know if they hire well or train well, but I suspect it's both, because everywhere we turn, there are helpful, friendly employees who seem genuinely happy to be there. I must give kudos to HR and the hotel management, because we all know finding/training/keeping good employees is difficult these days, but somehow, they do it...and the service is always great! On this most recent trip, we arrived June 26 and were welcomed by the smiling faces of the valet team at the red carpet entrance. This group could teach classes on how to run the valet service; they are professional, friendly, and on the ball! We checked in at the front desk and were promptly shown to our room (more on that later) by a member of the front desk staff. Our bags were delivered shortly thereafter. We were absolutely thrilled with our Beverly Hills Suite on the first floor and the lovely, spacious patio. We have stayed in lots of different room types, and this one was one of our favorites. Consisting of a living room, a large bedroom, a nice-sized closet, and 1.5 baths, the suite gave us lots of room to relax. And the patio? Wow! We had a large sofa/table and a dining table on our patio. We literally napped outdoors one afternoon of our stay. Because this stay was shorter than our usual stays, we had all our meals at the hotel. Normally, we are there for longer and try to have at least one meal a day in the hotel...because the food and service are great, and because we like to support the hotel! This time, we had been visiting friends in the area for a few days prior and had dined at other great restaurants around town, so we decided we would dine only at the hotel during our stay. As always, the Polo Lounge (favorite dishes: rigatoni bolognese or Wagyu burger), the Cabana Cafe (we love the truffle fries, but I also love the two egg breakfast), and the Fountain Coffee Room (pancakes!) were fantastic. Each restaurant has its own personality, but the service is great at each. We ordered coffee and chocolate croissants from in-room dining in the mornings, and we enjoyed them on our patio...it doesn't get any better, in my opinion. We did spend a little time at the pool, and we checked out the new Dior boutique on the pool landing...a must see, for sure. In summary, our stay was spectacular but too short. We love The Beverly Hills Hotel and consider it our own personal oasis! The people who work there know how to make everyone feel special, and we always hate to leave. However, we know we will return, so it takes the sting out just a little. We will be back during the holidays, and already, we can hardly wait!…
