Neighborhood
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.

The L'ermitage continues to be the best hotel experience in LA, full stop. Best staff and service, and the rooms are new with impeccable taste. It feels like you are in a gorgeous home vs. a hotel room. They will go above and beyond for any special requests, and truly make you feel at home. It is private and feels that way. During COVID-19 I was able to use the GYM via PRIVATE APPOINTMENT and they sanitize the entire space before and after, allowing private use for one guest at a time. Dining on the roof was safe and distanced, food was fantastic. Finding a vacation during the time period is tough...and they made working from the room, dining on the roof, and enjoying my stay a serious joy. Waldorf, Beverly Hills Hotel, Four Seasons...don't compare. This continues to be the best hotel in Los Angeles.

The Viceroy L'Ermitage has some strange procedures. Every time you go to your vehicle in the parking garage you must stop into the lobby and ask someone to let you down the garage. When you return to the property you have to call and ask for them to open the gate to get in. During our stay it wasn't very busy and was still a huge inconvenience, I can't imagine how frustrating it would be if it was busy.

My wife and I had a great stay at this hotel. Very spacious & quiet rooms with ample space to store luggage. Extremely friendly and service-oriented staff - from the bellmen/valet guys, to the front desk, concierge, restaurant staff. Any wish of ours was greeted with a smile and a can do attitude. Location is also great, a short walk from Rodeo drive. We will definitely be back when in LA.
