We had a reservation at the Palomar Hotel for one night in LA to visit a Family member, but once we arrived at the LA airport, the Palomar called us to say that they were over-booked for the night and would we mind staying at another hotel, expenses on them. That would really recommend to me the Palomar! However, the...

Dear guest, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to learn that the Palomar was overbooked but glad you had the opportunity to stay with us for one night. The Palomar actually booked the last room we had available which was a Studio with a queen size bed. I apologize that this was not communicated to you when they...

I hadn't stayed at Avalon since it first opened in the late 90's and returned this past week to one of the best hotel experiences I've had as a business traveller. They recently renovated and the rooms are amazingly appointed, staff was friendly and helpful, details were not missed and the food, drinks were top notch. I spent some time...

Dear guest, Thank you for your review. I apologize about the issues you encountered at the front desk. Although most hotels must collect a deposit at time of arrival in the form of a credit card, check or cash, the way this was handled during your arrival was below our standards. Please rest assured that we will address this with...

When I'm in LA I have appointments all over the area. You couldn't ask for a more central location. It's an easy drive along Pico or Olympic if you need to move east and west to Santa Monica or downtown. It's a very short drive to Hollywood. The Hotel is very low-key. Sitting and dining by the pool is pleasant....

This boutique hotel on Olympic Blvd in Beverly Hills is a real find. Good size rooms, clean, quiet, comfortable, inexpensive, and a hip mid-century/modern look. We will be back for sure.

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
