I visit Los Angeles/Beverly Hills quite often for weekend getaways. This was my first stay at The Avalon. Its a very quaint hotel that is perfect for weekend getaways. The Front Desk staff was very attentive and professional. The property is very clean and my room was very spacious and bright. I would definitely return for another visit.

No complains. Only thing that bothered me is that you have no choice but to use their 40$ valet parking service. So automatically add this to you room price. Other then this issue no complains. Location is OK, lots of traffic at peak hours.

The walls are super thin, rooms are small. I was in a renovated building ( I think there are 3 buildings total. The a/c in the room next door turned on and off every 2 minutes which was super distracting. Church bells rang every 30 minutes during the day. So much for quick nap. Tried to call the front desk... I was in LA for three days on business. I booked it on Priceline for 129 a night. It's a small chic and very comfortable boutique hotel. The staff (all of them) were extremely helpful and courteous, tending to every need. The rooms are comfortable and modern. The pool is situated in the center of the hotel and the restaurant... More

I live in LA, but traveled to Palm Springs over Memorial Day weekend and the Avalon Beverly Hills truly helped make my getaway one that I will never forget at their Palm Springs property. The pool and spa were exactly what I needed and the staff were so helpful and kind. Avalon Hotels never fail to impress!!

damaged poorly fitting wardrobes, no finishing - I.e. Mirrors & decore. No door closer, door stop, bathroom door very strange window in it. No mirrors inside room only bathroom. Fittings in bathroom were heavy glass shelves which weren't fitted to wall very well, felt as though they'd come out of wall if you placed anything on them. We're told it... More

This property tries to sell itself of as 'cool' and many references to its history. As a guest today you really would need to value that history over what a room delivers today. Bed was comfy, is pretty much the one good part of my stay. Pool looks pretty but don't feel comfy swimming by all the diners. Looks pretty but not practical. Food selection very limited. Service not amazing. Been sat here am hour and still no coffee top up. Over priced and unimpressive!!!

I stayed for two nights and was underwhelmed by my room which was in a separate building accessed through an alleyway. The hallway reeked of cigarette smoke although the room was surprisingly fresh. Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
