This was our second stay at The Avalon and it will now be our go to base when staying in LA. Great mid-century modern building & design. Great location, just a short walk to local restaurants & shops, which is a novelty when staying in LA!

Stayed here with my husband a month ago- everything was excellent. Service was great from moment of check-in. Staff was polite, courteous, and fulfilled all our requests! Room with king bed was clean with mid-century modern decor. Stayed here a few times, will definitely come back again.

I stayed 1 night for business travel in April 2016. The service is good- complimentary champagne at check in and the location is great- on a quiet street between west Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The room was clean and had good natural light. The downside is that the walls are thin: there was a private event in the pool courtyard... More

We stayed here one night and did not have time to really take advantage of the hotel. We did bid on priceline so we did not know what hotel we would get. I was disappointed with parking fee of $41.00 and the guest amenity fee of $15.00. I must say that the bed was very comfortable as was the pillows.... More

The hotel wants to be mid-century modern, but it's still stuck in the last century. First of all we were shunted across the alley (yes that one in the photos with the trashcans and parking lot) to one of their other buildings where we rode an old elevator that struggled to get to the 4th floor. We stepped into our... More

This is a nice hotel with very modern looking decor, the valet service was very friendly and were very quick. Staff was very helpful as well. The only thing I didn't like was not staying in the main hotel but a building across the street. Older building that is being remodeled, but still pretty decent. Very comfortable over sized beds.

Everything we want in a hotel. Easy check-in, inexpensive parking very close, big, clean room, quiet, excellent and friendly service. To be clear, the valet service is not compulsory. The hotel has deals with packing structures that are very close, at prices as low as $4/day, We had eaten here before but never stayed. The rice was competitive with Marriott... More

I visit Los Angeles/Beverly Hills quite often for weekend getaways. This was my first stay at The Avalon. Its a very quaint hotel that is perfect for weekend getaways. The Front Desk staff was very attentive and professional. The property is very clean and my room was very spacious and bright. I would definitely return for another visit.

No complains. Only thing that bothered me is that you have no choice but to use their 40$ valet parking service. So automatically add this to you room price. Other then this issue no complains. Location is OK, lots of traffic at peak hours.

The walls are super thin, rooms are small. I was in a renovated building ( I think there are 3 buildings total. Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
