Welcome to Graduate Berkeley – where your intellectual curiosity meets your favorite place to stay. Graduate Berkeley is a five-minute walk to campus at the corner of the city stir and game day buzz. We are steps from Telegraph Avenue shops and stops. A virtual post card from its counter culture past, Graduate Berkeley resides in the historically renovated Hotel Durant, making it the most storied place around. The Graduate Berkeley, is a full-service, 144 room boutique hotel, inviting nods to the arts and academia, the well-traveled, and Berkeley’s Bohemian roots. Thousands of “Nat Geo” magazines journey across the front desk walls, dressing them in California gold. Gather some Golden Bears for a post-game bite at the restaurant Henry’s or convene at a communal wood table. Rooms amenities include complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, refrigerator, in-room laptop safe, triple-sheeted linens and designer bath products.

This hotel fraudulently charged me $5 for a water bottle. However, I never used any of their water bottles. This is highly unethical behavior. I will never stay at this hotel again as I can no longer trust them to honestly bill me. I have stayed at many hotels and have never previously been charged for a service/product that I didn't use. I realize you may be thinking, "But it was only $5." True, but it even though it was only $5 my trust has been violated. I'll happily pay $5 for a product that I've used, but I have zero tolerance for a business that fraudulently charges me.

Clean, wonderfully helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere with great lobby to hang out and get work done (or just hang out.) Fun, collegiate theme wasn’t overdone, rooms were super tasteful and comfortable. Right by campus so the neighborhood is lively and has a bunch of great food options (Top Dog, Kingpin Donuts 🤤). You can have all the generic Hilton, Hyatt, Sheraton, W’s etc…I’ll take the charm and character of The Graduate Berkeley any day. Also: #beastmode

I stayed at The Graduate for two nights. I stayed in two different rooms that were both comfortable, clean, and unique. The staff was very friendly and responded with help immediately. Satori at the front desk did a great job helping me find an excellent room that had views of the campus. John was a great help in adjusting my room fan and at the front desk. Andrea was another friendly front desk person. This place succeeds in friendly staff, the best location, and comfortable, stylish, rooms. I have to say The Graduate makes the grade. - Matt M Class of 1997

This hotel is a great value for the location. Rooms are small and dated but staff is very friendly and attentive. Would be nice if the restaurant and bar would finally open. The only amenities to speak of are snacks for purchase in the lobby. And they they charge $5 for a bottle of water in the room.
