Not going to stay here again! The location is the only thing it has going for it. Why: -The rooms--both bedroom and bathroom--are horribly dark under the guise of "going green". The hotel actually is just cheap and wants to save on their electric bill by failing to provide adequate light to their guests. When you request more light, the...

Attractive, clean hotel with a very nice restaurant. The location is great - within walking distance of the UC Berkeley campus and many little restaurants. I have stayed here several times and will return.

This hotel is located near U Berkeley and main thoroughfare with plenty of restaurants. At night, not so nice neighborhood. Good service overall, attractive lobby and corridors, outdated rooms. Overpriced restaurant but with excellent service.

Hotel has very helpful staff, clean rooms, great location close to restaurants and Berkeley campus. Hotel restaurant is good for breakfast. Close to BART, good place to stay if visiting the university.

Stayed one night on a business trip. The hotel seems to be something of a time capsule in many ways. The glorious entry doors, the old fashioned elevator entry (modern equipment behind the facade), and the old fashioned cocktail bar. Unfortunately, the service and facilities are not quite up to the image. Front desk, bar and restaurant service varied from...

I would stay here again. I came for a concert at Freight & Salvage which is in walking distance, I felt safe as a woman alone even at night. There are a number of homeless people around the area but they did not feel threatening, just sad. I walked to many places from the hotel, it was convenient. BART is...

I stay here often for business, and sometimes linger for pleasure. Let's start first with location. It is not only exceptionally located relative to all Berkeley has to offer, the BART station is literally across the street from the front door. The station provides quick access to San Francisco, Oakland and the Oakland Airport. The hotel itself is wonderful. The...

This hotel was like a breath of fresh air from the places I usually have to stay for business. Clean rooms, good style, and friendly staff. Free basic WiFi, too - which was a must for me! The weight room was very basic, but they at least had a bench and dumbbells which go up to 50lbs. However, there was...

I stayed here for business and it was a pleasant stay. The bar staff were great - very professional but friendly and willing to chat. I didn't book the hotel so am unsure of cost. Therefore have given it a very good.

We paid hundreds per night for postage-stamp-sized room. The pillows were too thin and mattress was like sleeping on the floor - like concrete. The same partially consumed food trays lay in the stairwell for 2 days. We rented 2 rooms, in one the bathroom door would not stay closed (no latch), in the other, the bathroom door kept locking...
