We stayed here as part of our road trip and was really looking forward to it. The chalets looked very appealing in the photos, alas that's where it ended. Our outlook was over a laundry point and every time someone came all we could hear was their talking. This made it impossible to enjoy the balcony. The condition of the... More

Nice community a 25 min drive to Yosemite. Our room in whispering pines was spacious but needed upgrade of worn kitchen and bath. It doesn't need to be fancy, just not worn out. People at restaurant bar and grill were absolutely terrific as were the helpful front desk staff. But I called a few days after my stay to ask... More

We booked a room in the hotel portion of the resort with a king side bed. We received a cryptic email that told us we would be in a chalet with two queen beds. Not knowing the difference we didn't argue with the unwanted change. To our disappointment we were placed in an old, decrepit, ugly, beat-up, two story "chalet".... More

This place is really great for families. We stayed in one of The Pines Resort Chalet rooms. The rooms are charming, but soon need some updating. Especially the bathrooms. We had a partial lake view which was nice. It got us closer to the pool and lake which made it easier to get our gear and coolers to the boat.... More

We loved our stay at Bass Lake! We are from Michigan and it was very much like being 'up north'. We choose the Pines for it's proximity to Yosemite and lake and woodsy location. The roads through the cabins are narrow and twisty but everyone was able to maneuver around. Our son kayaked and loved it. The lake level was... More

The setting of the resort on the banks of the lake is great but the whole place is a bit beaten up and run down. It has most things you need but it's all tired, worn or broken which is a shame. The resort needs to have some money spent on a really good makeover but I suspect the owners... More

It is a great place to enjoy with anyone! We especially enjoyed the lake, being outdoors & relaxing. Our Chalet was really comfortable and we appreciated the small upgrades! We will stay longer next time!

We stayed at the Pines in one of the duplex chalets in early May. It was reasonably priced (esp with the AAA discount), granted it was early in the season. The accommodations weren't anything luxurious, more rustic, but suited our needs. It was way more room than two people need and would likely accomadate large groups comfortably. The kitchen, with... Our family stayed here for a much needed getaway. We were fairly close to the park. It's a two lane highway so 15 miles takes a little longer than you think. The cabins were adequate, the lake is gorgeous, and the staff is friendly.
