The grounds were fine for what we needed. We only needed a place to stop over before Joshua Trees, coming from Stockton. The showers were huge!!! The lady at the front desk could use some help in customer service, though. It is literally 500 feet off of the freeway, so location was incredibly convenient for us after arriving at 2 AM and exhausted as all get out! We don’t use our RV restroom, so it was awesome that there was a nice big restroom and shower combined that we could use. The name of this place tells you exactly what they are and is a literally an orange orchard, practically! There are orange trees all over the RV park and they’re free to pick and eat!!

Orange Grove RV Park was our 88th stop and we stayed for 2 nights nights as a transit point to Sequoia National Park. Checked in without engaging office staff but found them pleasant when returning to the office to ask a question. The park was large and nicely laid out, the roads were paved and easy to navigate and two of the three small dog parks had grass. This site had a gravel surface that was level on pull up – not a common occurrence – and was long but the hook ups were more toward the front of the site. They had a fairly extensive cable tv listing (59 digital channels), good over the air access to channels but the WiFi was non-existent. When hooking up to the utilities, there was no water pressure as they have been working on a pump issue for a week – they had information posted on the office door and in the information packet. The issue was not with the water itself but in the lack of communication to incoming guests regarding the situation. There have been a number of parks who have had issues come up and they communicated days or weeks in advance about the issue by mail, email, phone call or text offering us a chance to cancel or modify our reservations – we did not make any changes. With the water issue, we could have bought more water in advance. But knowing about a potential issue before arriving is good business. In terms of connectivity: WiFi had technical difficulties; T-Mobile 3.79 down/3.68 up; Verizon 119.0 down/25.0 up. Would stay here again if in the area.

We’ve stayed here so many times over the years, it’s hard for me to say anything new. Given it’s location this is hardly going to be called a scenic park, but they’ve done a great job with what the climate allows. Spacious level sites. We left our 35’ fiver with 3 slides hooked on our F350. Great customer service at check in.

This RV park is located near Bakersfield and it is an easy on/off from the freeway. This park has dynamic pricing which code for changing prices depending on demand. I paid $57 after a discount for being a repeat customer. I had an easy check-in and all the RV spots are all pull-thru. The park is all gravel, and includes cable which was very limited due to some technical issues...while it had a limited list of channels, some channels were repeated on several different channels, causing the already limited channel selection to be reduced. They have good shower rooms and washrooms, but had a very hard time accessing them due to difficulties operating the door with the codes. I was not the only person who had a hard time with the system. In my opinion, the good thing about this park is the location.

This RV Park is located just off Highway 58, east of Bakersfield. The park is gravel with orange trees. The sites are level with sewer, 50/30 amp service and water. There is good cable TV and suprisingly good wifi. The washrooms are good with lots of hot water although poor water pressure.

One thing that I did not like was the pricing. I have stayed previously and they always give a discount for returning guests. When the price was more money this time, I asked the question and the answer was that they use "dynamic" pricing. And on this, they do not discount. So they charge more when they are busy, and do not care if you are repeat customer. When I left early the next morning and looked at the occupancy of the park, it seemed about half full. On the web-site, they quote their prices as "starting from".

I dislike the games with the pricing. Just on principle. While I like the park, I will be looking for a new stop on my way to/from Arizona in the future. You will have to make your own decision but I wanted you to know what is going on.

The good: We’ve stayed here many times. It is a convenient location when traveling south for the winter and back home in the spring. The park has long pull through sites. Check in is easy. The park is clean and guests are welcome to pick the oranges when they are ripe.
The not so good: The park requires payment up front and it is non refundable. If plans change, you can get a credit to use at a different time. The advertised high-speed Wifi was non existent. From other reviews and from the note received at check in, it is obvious this was not just a one time occurrence. When a park advertises high-speed Wifi and it is not available, guests should be advised of this in advance and offered a refund if they decide to change plans. But, of course that would conflict with the aforementioned no refund policy.

Might as well stay at a truck stop. Between the diesel pusher that ran a loud furnace motor, but that could happen anywhere, to loud machinery (agricultural?) on the perimeter of the property last night was not overly restful. We did stay on the “quieter” side and paid more so the freeway and train noise was better than the other side closer to the freeway. Bring earplugs. Cold and foggy. Free oranges to be picked though. Nice bathrooms. Easy friendly reservations.

I recently overnighted at this RV Park near Bakersfield CA. I paid $52 for the one night and the park is easy to access off Hwy 58. The operators were friendly, easy to deal with and it was a joy to book. The park is fairly large, flat, with long gravel pull thru's for large rigs. The washrooms were clean and with plenty of hot water for a shower. To me, the only negative was no hot tub, only a pool. I would use this park again.

Great overnight place to stay on the way to and back from Arizona. It’s about the half way spot for us. Clean and friendly. Plenty of space to walk the dog. Easy access on and off the freeway. Apparently you can harvest oranges in December and January. By Valentine’s Day they were finished.

This is our favourite place when entering or leaving the south (California or Arizona). We love to pick a big bag of oranges and walk around the corner for date shakes and other goodies. The staff are friendly and helpful and sites are nice with an orange tree at just about every site. Good wifi throughout the park.
