Need a break? Spend a little time at this lovely location right on the highway, on top of the world, literally in or above the clouds. Nothing like a mountain view to take your breath away. The cabins are roomy and welcoming. The hosts are some of the nicest I've met, the food is delicious--like down home at Grandma's, and the meeting room is very "classroom-friendly." We had a small kitchen in our cabin, and a generous-sized wood-rail back porch with a swing. I WILL be back.

Homey and rustic, this place is a gem. I stayed here for a weekend retreat with a large group. The owners were very accommodating for every little thing we needed. The food was delicious. They took great care of those of us with food allergies and sensitivities.

Fantastic place to stay. Shabby Chic but definitely not rundown. The whole place is spotlessly clean. The food is fabulous. The bed was comfortable. What more could you ask for? Just to return and stay longer. Lovely people who obviously care about their guests.

I was looking for a Bed N Breakfast in the Ozark Mountains when I found this one. It is an old motor court with detached cabins along a ridge with a view of the mountains to the east and a broad valley below. This bed n breakfast is between Ft. Smith and Fayetteville on old Hwy 71 which at one time was the fore runner of the interstate system. It is across the street from the Ozark Folkways Building, and the Shrine of the Lady of the Ozarks an old Catholic church. There is not a lot of traffic along this road. The hosts are professional and have been in the hostelry and guest services businesses for a long time. There is a main lodge building, with crafts store, public bathrooms, and a lodge dining room for breakfast. There are 12 out buildings. I stayed in the smallest cabin available. The cabin is vintage and has seen better days. But it was clean, and tidy. It has paneled walls, wood floors, window air, baseboard heater, small bathroom with shower, nice back deck looking at the mountains, a small bar refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. The highlight of my stay was breakfast. I was somewhat surprised by the amount of guests for breakfast. They were an international group and everyone was friendly and engaging bringing all kinds of travel experiences to the table. The food was very good. We had an egg souffle, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls, toast, homemade apple butter, tea and coffee. If you are not put off by older accomodations, and are looking for an off the beaten path, slower pace, come here. Despite some reservations, I recommend this place.

While Sky-Vue does boast some amazing scenery, that’s not the only reason one should stay here during any sojourn in the Ozarks. The Jorgensons are a beautiful family, full of charm, intellect and hospitality. The cabins are a very good value, being spacious and accommodating to smaller to larger families. Their breakfasts are hearty and a great way to start a day of adventuring. The location is great for a quick trip up to Fayetteville, as well.
