Neighbors were smoking dope and it made the room stink. Have noticed a lot of people coming and going. Dropping people off, then coming back later to pick them up.
Walls were spray painted and filthy. Who knows what on the mirror. Furniture looks like a used garage sale purchase.
Large parking lot and driving distance to food. Saturday nights the race track is full out till 9 pm and it's noisy. Receptionist was polite and check in was fast. Bed is comfortable and AC works well. Microwave in room too. Bring some smell good. Room wreaks of Cigarette smoke.
Trying to get a refund but they only refunded dog fee.
Now I book hotels that don't say "non refundable".
When I was running the water in the tub to wait for hot water, it didn't drain.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!
Scary area as well.
Sadly, our lack of preparation meant that all pet-friendly hotels in the area were completely booked, with the exception of this one.
After multiple disappointments, we were grateful to discover they had a place for us, until we opened the door to the room. Yes, this was better than sleeping in our vehicles, which were stuffed to the gills with pets and boxes, but that's really debatable. The bathroom light didn't work, which meant showering & visiting the restroom in the dark. The shower dripped loudly all night, the bathroom vanity was broken so that any amount of pressure threatened to tear it from the wall... there was a basic feeling of dilapidation in the room, made all the more real by the sandy feeling in the sheets, which happened to be covered in a variety of stains. Needless to say, I didn't sleep under the covers and was fully clothed. I honestly expected a serial killer to suddenly appear out of a secret tunneling system and film our murder, but apparently even that was too much of an effort for the Express Inn.
We went to eat and came back at 1. (I had to find something to do for 4 hours, which mostly consistent of me sitting in my car.) The door to my room was closed, so I thought they were done. I grabbed my stuff and headed up the stairs only to find a housekeeper opening my door. They had just started. So I left to use the restroom at a neighboring truck stop. When I came back, they were done
( maybe 10 minutes later). Not near enough time to clean anything.
My skin is laterally crawling with what I found. I'm so glad I brought my own pillows and blankets.
This was the worst hotel I had ever seen. Pay a little more and stay in a decent hotel.
Definitely will stay there again!
