We as a family of four have visited Jamaica 4 times and have stayed at Rhodes every time from when our boys were 7 and five and had our last stay this past February when they were 13 and 11. They have a beautiful resort,...More
We stayed here in April for our honeymoon. It was exactly what we were looking for. Very secluded and quiet, we practically had the whole resort to ourselves. Snorkeled out to one of the most spectacular coral reefs on earth, the reef is healthy and...More
Just got back from a return visit to my home away from home. I live in the northern Midwest and come for the sun and warmth. The icing on the cake are the beach and the amazing reef for snorkeling. The staff is still friendly...More
No staff available! No hot water! No working TV stay away from this so called resort... Beautiful location....the only thing positive I can say. The potential is there for a great vacation but it is understaffed. Needs some money infused to keep the grounds up.More

We sincerely regret this guests unpleasant experience. In our defense, this guest checked in immediately after experiencing some of the highest winds and roughest seas we have encountered since the last hurricane hit us. Many trees came down, power lines were down, cable TV, telephone,...More
Very peaceful and natural. Grounds are well maintained. It is a bit smaller than appears from the web site. Beach areas are small directly at the building area. I kept looking to the large expanses of beach to the left and wishing we had access...More

We offer guests a unique experience unlike any other resort on the island. Samuel's Bay Marine Park is one of the largest, healthiest, coral reef formations on the island literally steps from our shoreline. You will need rubber water boots to protect your feet from the gentle pointy sea urchins that lay motionless on the ocean floor, sharp living coral formations, etc., and various other living species so we recommend using snorkeling gear to enjoy the sight and protect the creatures that lay on the bottom. Because we are in a bay, the sea is calmer than other parts of the island. However, we do get rough seas often and cannot be held responsible for unexpected changes in wind and sea currents. When swimming or snorkeling depths range from a few inches to over 60 feet depending on how far out you wish to venture. Samuel's Bay is a magnificent natural creation that we wish to protect so we ask all guests to refrain from touching, feeding and taking anything from the reef. Swimming should not be a problem and we have a seawater infinity pool in case the sea gets rough.
