Located above the Caribbean Sea close to Salisbury on the island of Dominica. Big rooms with fan and AC, fridge. Very clean, veranda with stunning view to the sea and cliff. Beaches within walking distance. Good restaurant with cool sea brise. Menu with good choice of food, creole, local and European style, rich choice of beverages, local beer on tap,... More

When we booked our vacation at The Tamarind Tree Hotel, I told people that this would either be the worst vacation ever or the best. It was the BEST! The rooms are nothing fancy, but are clean and comfortable. The restaurant was wonderful. I was disappointed initially when I discovered that there was a set menu for dinner each night,... More

As written before the rooms are nice and practicably equipped. Nothing extravagant but everything you need including a fridge. The view from the 2nd floor (superior rooms) is much nicer but take in mind that it gets dark at ~6 PM anyway. Also we didn't miss air conditioning on the 1st floor as there is a big fan in the... We visited low-season and there were very few other guests. Overall the hotel is of a reasonable standard but nightly rates were very expensive. The restaurant food was good. The local staff were full of smiles....very friendly and extremely helpful - couldn't fault them. The owners were also amicable and talkative. The rooms were a good size, were clean and... More

We booked this place based on the good reviews. Unfortunately we made different experiences. The place is run down, needs a complete makeover. The ceilings are full of mould, the room smelled of it, the blanket was dirty, the bathroom as well. The staff was not very friendly or helpful. Restaurant and bar are closed on Tuesdays. Breakfast is okay.... More

I thought this would be a good location for exploring this part of Dominica but the location is not convenient to anything and the services not up to par for the rest of the island. The "international" feel of this place interprets to lots of smokers, no privacy and forget about ice! Meals were good with local food at night... More

I just returned from a 5 night stay in Dominica in which my friend and I stayed at the Tamarind Tree. The owners are great and very helpful. They will set up tours and such. I didn't notice till I checked out but they even have laundry services and internet services as well if needed...something I stay away from on... More

Theier staff is friendly and helpful. Food is really not expensive and tasteful. Rooms with air conditions... More
