Never been on an all inclusive so wasn’t sure what to expect, except we knew we ought to tip staff after reading reviews. And we did so, every day because they were amazing, especially the waiters and waitresses. I think they must have to buy their own uniforms as some of them looked threadbare, or no longer fitted them (the food is exceptional!) and that must be one perk of working there. They worked incredibly long hours but always with a smile and a graciousness. The staff were the best thing about this place. Now for a few annoyances. The hotel itself was a bit rundown especially our apartment. While the bed was very comfortable the bathroom tiles in the shower and toilet were mouldy and tiles were cracked and grout was falling off the walls. It wasn’t five star by any means. Also some of the sunbeds around the pool were falling apart with ripped covers, always covered in sand or water after the rain. Never cleaned - I think that needs attention. The pool by the bar in the lobby needs work, it looks quite shabby and the spa also felt grubby especially the pool water. It was cleaned because I got splashed by bleach when someone was washing the path coming out the gym and my yoga pants got ruined. However, after my grumbling we both agreed that the food was really delicious even in the regular buffet. There was so much choice. Drink is abundant and while you get the same wine every day, it’s tasty. The beach is lovely but it was a bit wild to swim while we were there. Beware the sand flies. The hotel was sprayed every day to control bugs, but that meant there were no butterflies or bees or anything alive on the pretty plants, which felt a bit like overkill. I would recommend the place because the staff made it such an enjoyable experience - it just needs a little upgrade, which might now have happened during lockdown.

We stayed at Le Sivory for five days in the middle of march as the coronavirus was just starting to reach North America. There were not many travellers and we almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. However the staff still pulled out all the punches to make our stay amazing. The hotel room is modern and spotless with a beautiful rain shower bathroom and comfortable bed. The pool was clean and pleasant to swim in. We also used the gym daily which was quite good for a resort. We ate all our meals at the buffet which offered a wonderful array of tasty options three times a day. The staff were attentive and friendly and although their English was limited (as was our Spanish) we managed to feel attended at every meal. The only disappointment was that the ocean was quite rough every day of our stay. I am not sure if this is just the time of year we travelled but I would have liked to swim in the ocean. As our vacation came to an end the Island actually declared a state of Emergency due to the global pandemic the staff never made us feel rushed as we came to our last day and treated us with top notch service, helping us secure transportation to the airport (as many companies stopped driving). Sadly they were all getting sent home indefinitely as the hotels were closing. We really enjoyed our stay at Le Sivory and wish everyone there to stay safe and hope to see you again when everything is over and travle becomes safe again.

6 months later and world pandemic and we find ourselves looking back to the best weekend of our lives. And wishing we could go back to it. I’ve never been a girl that had her entire wedding or even bits of it planned for that matter but all i knew was i wanted a beach wedding. That was my only must, everything else was a plus. Coming from a big and loud family i knew i wanted to make our wedding a big party for us and everyone in our family. What started as a rough idea of a destination wedding in the Dominican Republic ended up with the best weekend planned at Le Sivory Punta Cana. After extensive research and many emails with different (if not all) hotels in the area, my mom found this little beautiful gem of a place. Everything about the hotel was breathtaking including the attentions from all the staff. We went 2 months before the wedding to check the place in person (everything was already booked we just wanted an excuse to go). People actually remembered our orders and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. But back to wedding planning. After a weekend was picked (cause yes we partied all weekend) it just came down to figuring out the details. Because we had so many people coming (we had all but 3 rooms booked) we wanted to make it a fun weekend. We started with a welcome dinner by the pool Friday night with karaoke and a bon fire. Beach ceremony, pool side cocktail hour followed by reception and dancing (and fireworks) on Saturday. And ended the weekend with a foam pool party Sunday. All the events were beautifully decorated, setup and tended to. The food and service both during wedding events and normal hours were exceptional. It was an awesome weekend that required a lot of preparation and planning ahead but it was so worth it! Our planning started in March for a mid Oct wedding (some people might say that wasn’t enough but we pulled it off!). I feel bad for admitting this but there was no time that i would text my awesome wedding planner that he wouldn't respond. We were so in-sync throwing ideas back and forth that it made the entire experience so much easier. He got my vision and theme so well that his suggestions were very spot on. He also made sure I stayed on budget. Little to say that for someone that had no idea what she wanted, it was spectacular and all of our guests kept complimenting the hotel for its beauty, quality of food and service as well as how beautiful and awesome all the events turned out. If I had to pick a downside it was that we couldn't celebrate for a week!! But seriously the only thing that we couldn't fully plan for was the rain but when i picked the date i knew this was a risk (end of hurricane season). But even with that, the team was so quick to act and readjust everything when it started raining during the reception that the disruption was minimal. As they say, a rainy wedding is a sign of good luck and thats how i took it! We had the best time of our lives and thats all that matters. When I say the service was amazing, believe it cause my father in law had never left the states and to this date he keeps praising the hotel, the staff and the quality of all of the events. I cant thank the team enough for all the love and attention and im hoping we can come back soon and enjoy this beautiful place again. If we could do it all over again we wouldn't change a thing!

My mother and stayed 10 days at this resort and loved it. It is a small resort that was perfect for a relaxing vacation. The accommodations were clean and comfortable the staff were excellent very friendly very accommodating. being a small resort everything was nearby. We met interesting people from all over the world, who were looking for the same experience of a calm relaxing environment. we loved how our accommodations were set up it was very private and we had our own sitting area outside to relax. They were many things we loved about the resort, the food was very good, they tried very hard to give us a variety of choices, The entire resort was very clean and well-kept, it was easy to find space by the pool and the beach, and the views were spectacular. But, our favorite part of the resort were the staff, they were so friendly and really went out of their way to accommodate any request. Everyone was so friendly from the reception staff to the dining staff to the groundskeepers. This resort may not be for everyone, there was no loud parties or music by the pool, and in the evening there was no entertainment other than a saxophone or piano player near the bar. For us, this was paradise!

My husband and I stayed at the resort at the end of February and enjoyed a week of quiet and calm in this boutique all inclusive resort. The food was terrific, the staff even more so. We particulalry enjoyed their attention to detail - we arrived in our room to champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for our anniversary. We got to know staff over the the week and they anticipated our needs. A big shout out to Jaun-Felipe and Jube! I felt like we were the only people on the beach. No crowds! We went on a few excursions and saw how crowded other resorts were so we really appreciated the quiet of Le Sivory. I don't usually like to go back to the same place on a vacation but I would most definitely go back to Le Sivory! One suggestion - when you arrive, ask when the restaurants are open so you can make a reservation. The asian a la carte restaurant is only open a few days. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is some of the beach cushions and room cushions could be replaced. Thank you to the staff at this fabulous resort for a wonderful week away!

This was the quietest resort we have ever visited. The staff were wonderful and very attentive. The food was great although we had to wait over an hour for our food at the Gastro restaurant and it wasn’t worth it. The duck a l’orange was very tough! The main restaurant had many choices and would be great for a vegetarian. The pool was small but the beach was wonderful! Just necessary to put on bug repellent before heading out. The weather wasn’t great while we were there but we never had to rush for a towel or chair. I would recommend the rooms with the balcony jacuzzi. It seemed like most of the guests were there to be quiet-so not a great place to meet people-and no evening activities. The staff were friendly and willing to help us learn a little Spanish. Thanks Roseanne, Juliekinn, Victor, Juan-Felip and Diebi-as well as the others who made our stay so special! The gym was small-one elliptical, treadmill, bike and one weight machine. Yoga three mornings. If you are looking for a quiet beautiful place at the end of the line I recommend the Sivory

We spent a week in min-February in a Luxury Junior Suite Ocean Front with Private Pool, room 11. Upon arrival staff was amazing. I was worried because my husband and I don't speak much Spanish and we were tired from traveling, but the front desk staff spoke excellent English and was very accommodating. He gave us a nice overview of the resort and helped us with our bags. It was my husband's birthday, and I had informed the hotel before we arrived, so they had a ribbon on the door, balloons in the room, and a small cake for us to share. There were flower petals throughout the room and it felt very special. A great indication of the care the staff puts into your stay. We arrived late in the day and were too late to have dinner at one of the two restaurants that require reservations, so we ate at the buffet. The selection was great, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. We ate out on the balcony and it was perfect, a nice warm temperature and a nice breeze. Throughout the whole week every meal we ate, whether at one of the buffets or room service, was fantastic. When we had an excursion to go whale watching they even offered to make us a picnic lunch! It was just a ham sandwich, yogurt, pear, and a bottle of water, but it was perfect. Unfortunately we were only able to make it to the reservation required restaurants one evening of our six nights - if they interest you, try to book them early in the trip or you might miss out like we did. Gastroatelier was truly a delight. Caribbean style cuisine and wonderful service. I was sad to not be able to go back to try some of the other options on the menu. ÖMI was closed or booked every night we were there. As for room service - when we were able to put an order in it was great. I called for breakfast 4 times and was not able to get ahold of anyone, and I called for dinner twice with the same result. Every time I called for lunch, we were able to order. We had room service 4 times in 7 days. The menu is limited but there are plenty of choices, and the food is very good and doesn't take too long - I think the longest wait was around 40 minutes. However, the website states that they have 24 hour room service and the menu in the room states that there is room service available from 6:30am-midnight, and we were only ever able to order between 11am and 2pm. Another thing the website states is "A selection of choice house wines in your suite (12 bottles, restocked daily)" and this is simply untrue. There is only one bottle of white and one bottle of red in the room. Unfortunately I did not care for either, so we had to go to the bar to get drinks. The minibar in the room also has 2 bottles of Presidente Light, 1 can of Diet Pepsi, 1 bottle of regular Pepsi, and 2 bottles of water. There is a small coffee pot with one each decaf and regular coffee, and a variety of sugars and Splenda. This is restocked every day in the late afternoon. The room itself was quite nice. The bed is very comfortable, the two person shower is amazing (great water pressure) and the two person tub is truly enormous. However, right away we noticed that our room wasn't as private as we were expecting. Room 11 is the first room to the left of the public areas. You can see everyone who walks down to the beach or is at the pool through the windows. There is a window above the bed, a full wall of windows in the bathroom area - including the toilet area - and in the living room area, but we had to keep the blinds closed most of the time because it didn't feel private. We did try to look in and the bushes block most of the view, but it still felt like were were on display when using the facilities. The private plunge pool was a delight, but you can see it from the pool area and restaurants, and there is a large gap in the bushes so everyone who is walking to the beach can see into your pool and patio area. During the day this isn't a big deal, but the lights turn on automatically around 6pm until 6am and once again you feel like you are on display for everyone. Another issue with room 11 is that the people walking down to the beach from rooms that don't have direct access naturally gravitate toward those first sets of beds and chairs so we spent quite a lot of time on our patio loungers since we would lose our chairs whenever we got up. There are lots of chairs and the outdoor beds are very comfortable, but when you have to get up every time you want a drink it's just easier to be closer to the public areas. The beach itself is wide and quite beautiful. Right now one adjacent property is for sale, so there is a large expanse of empty beach on one side. There is another resort on the other side, but there is quite a distance between the resorts. It was consistently windy while we were there and there were lots of kite surfers, which was fun to watch. My husband went boogie boarding and had a great time, but there was no snorkeling there. The final day wasn't windy, and we did get bitten by lots of no-see-ums that day. They give you bug spray in the room, but I didn't realize that we needed to use it that day until it was too late. So if it's not windy, spray yourself down before going to the beach. We did get a couple's massage at the spa. Neither masseuse spoke English and there was some embarrassing miscommunication about the draping, but they were professional and the massage was excellent. I have gotten massages in multiple countries and this is the first time my top was left undraped, and it difficult for me to relax because I wasn't expecting it. If I had known going in I think I wouldn't have gotten so embarrassed. They also give you disposable undies to wear, which was also a first for me, but not a big deal. We did use the sauna facilities, which were large, but none of the other facilities in the spa area. The bars are small and staffed by one person each, but there usually wasn't much of a wait to get a drink. The bartender didn't always seem pleased to make our drinks, especially when we wanted to use our large insulated mugs or if I asked for a mimosa, for some reason. There was one day when they had outside people come with tables full of local products to sell and they were set up right by the bar. They weren't super aggressive, but they did continue to ask after we said we weren't interested multiple times. Not a big deal, but we did avoid the bar that day. The gift shop at the hotel is small and on the pricey side, but they had everything we wanted. The resort itself is small, with only 55 rooms, and it was never full while we were there. It felt very relaxed even at busy meal times. It was always quiet, but they do have live music every evening if you want to socialize. Overall I would definitely go back. The staff was always available but not intrusive. I would choose a different room further along the beach, and probably pick up a couple of bottles of champagne or whiskey for the room at the airport. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation with your significant other, this is the place.

The Sivory Punta Cana is a beautiful resort in a private area, at 45' drive from Punta Cana airport. It is settled in a gorgeous tropical garden alongside a long white sand beach. Rooms are organized in a limited number of 2-floor villas nicely scattered in the garden. They are all very quiet, with some of them with a look to the sea. Rooms are spacious, beds, bathrooms and private spas are comfortable. There is ample space around the swimming pool with a choice of three restaurants and a bar: the buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner) is superb, the bar offers a wide choice of drinks and cocktails, part of the all-inclusive stay. The staff is gentle, always willing to help. Being in a secluded location is a guarantee for peace and comfort, but requires some driving to go golfing at Punta Cana (one hour) or at Casa di Campo (two hours), or to go shopping (30' to Chez Nicole). You need either renting a car (drive carefully - local driving habits may be surprising) or having reception staff booking taxis. We have had fantastic time there and strongly recommend it to our relatives and friends

The staff are incredible, food was excellent, a mix up on room which Sebastia fixed for the second week. Resort is getting tired looking and rooms need updateing and the grounds need to be clipped and mowed. Major problem with mosquito, sand fleas and black flies. Was there a year ago and seen a big difference. The size is perfect and if it could look after these issues We would definitely go back.

My husband and I wanted a quiet, low key, all-inclusive resort to celebrate our anniversary and found it Le Sivory. During our 6 day visit, we were pampered by the friendly and professional staff. Front desk staff members, Castillo, Sebastia and Javier were excellent and so accommodating. Our housekeeper, Ingrid, treated us like family and made us feel special by decorating our room with rose petals each day. The dining area managers, Spencer and Juan Felipe, made sure we were well taken care of no matter where we ate or the time of day. The restaurant and bar serving staff were friendly and efficient. Thanks to all of you for making our stay a trip to remember and repeat! If you shun the crowded and crazy party atmosphere of the bigger resorts, try Le Sivory and our guess is that you will love it!
