We were looking for a place to stay in a more distanced environment while we went to follow some trains and take pictures for the weekend. The Rhea (Sample Room) was amazing and the bed was very comfortable! We'll return again!

There are only four rooms here but they are beautiful suites. Since it's an historical hotel, the pictures and furnishing depict how beautiful things must have been in it's heyday. They were very clean and easy access if you can climb stairs (3 rooms are upstairs). One doesn't usually travel to Walnut Ridge but it does have some interesting history so it's worth checking out. We were just traveling through but took time to see a few other things.

Not only was it a break from normal day to day I was able to learn much about Walnut Ridge and the local Williams Baptist University. The accommodation was top notch and Moni's had the perfect breakfast a short walk away. I will not hesitate to stay here again when in the area.

My daughter was ill after 9 hours in the car (dehydrated) so we *happened* to detour into Walnut Ridge and *happened* to stop at the first hotel, the Hotel Rhea. No one at the office since they were preparing to reopen, but another guest *happened* to be in the parking lot at that moment and called the manager for us. They *happened* to have a room with 2 beds available at a reasonable price (actually the 2BR Hughes Suite with a kitchen). We had a comfortable stay in the beautifully restored yet modern room (my daughter especially liked the exposed brick on the interior walls). I enjoyed seeing the Beatles memorabilia as I walked through the downtown area. We don’t think all this happened by chance: God and the nice people at the Hotel Rhea took care of us!

So happy God brought you to Walnut Ridge and the Hotel Rhea! It was a blessing to have you with us. We have a no-contact check-in that is normally not staffed and requires an advance reservation, but that seems to have been handled providentially in your case! Please visit again anytime you're passing through northeast Arkansas.

We booked the two room suite since we were traveling with our children. Lots of room, great bathroom, very clean. You can tell this hotel is loved and well taken care of! Only complaint is the proximity to the train tracks...it woke us up several times in the night. I'd stay here again, highly recommend.

Thank you for the review and for choosing the Hotel Rhea for your families lodging needs. And yes, the train tracks are close and that is something light sleepers might want to prepare for. When you consider the age of the original hotel, most likely that location was selected because it was an easy walk from the train depot. In fact, we still get quite a bit of business from people traveling on Amtrak. Nevertheless, I bet the early trains didn’t have as loud of horn sets as they do now 👍 Thanks again for choosing the Hotel Rhea. We hope to see you again in the future.
