This place have one of the most superb view of all the islands. The room are clean and the bed is comfortable. It is walking distance from kayaking if weather let you the chance ( sometimes water activities are closed because of the wind ). On the negative side it is pretty noisy especially in the morning. We went there... More

We stayed in the bubble tents at the Auberge Salicorne and had an exceptional visit. The location and comfort of the tents are a delight. Definitely glamping! And the sea excursions were fantastic. We did both the sea kayaking tour and the swimming grotto excursion. Guides were superb! Highly recommended!

Located on the fascinating Island of Grosse-Ile, La Salicorne is something in between a holiday camp and a health retreat - and it was a paradise for our family! We were on an all-inclusive plan, but although there were several activities available each day, there was no pressure to sign up; the pace was slow and easy. We spent a... More

We told the folks when we called that we were coming on our honeymoon and that my wife was allergic to fish and they assured us that we would have a quiet room and that there would be many menu options. It's true that we were given a room at the end of the hall, but without any carpet or... More

Stayed here for two nights in hight season. It was very hot. This is not usual for the islands. Rooms had no air flow nor fan not AC. At least they could install ceiling fans. Bathrooms were okay but nothing special. The dining room had great views, but was also very hot to stay long. This hotel is about a... More

After touring the Ecomusee du Phogues we stopped here to try seal meat which is high in iron and Omega 3 too. It had caramelized onions and cranberries on top. Mouth watering! So good we went off to purchase frozen seal roast, burgers, sausage,... To take home on our flight so we could share the experience with family and friends.

We took a 5 days package at La Salicorne which included breakfast, dinner and 2 daily excursion. What stands out is the warmth and friendliness of the people on the Island. At the Salicorne, people will go out of their way to help you out. The food is like home cooking, although simple in a way, but very tasty. We... More

I just spent a week in early June at La Salicorne. It was my first time to Les Iles and my stay at La Salicorne was way beyond my expectations. There were not a lot of clients so for an anglophone with limited French, it was a great opportunity to mix with the diverse mix of French speaking guests from... More

We visited the auberge as part of a larger group where there were classes each of the three days there. The visit was enhanced by outstanding tours of the islands (incredible locales and vistas, breath-taking sunsets) and delicious meals. The rooms were not inner urban deluxe, but very nice, with very nice amenities in the bath. Everyone on the iles... More

We spent three nights here after spending two nights at the other end of the island chain. This place has an interesting philosophy with a mission to educate visiting tourists about the islands. Check in was efficient and easy and we felt truly welcomed by the front desk girls. We were very happy with our room on the second floor.... More
