Safe, warm, and welcoming. This hotel is nostalgic and modern all at the same time rooms are very nice, beds are comfortable, and people are very friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay as they take an adventure through Los Mochis.
The hotel is located very close to restaurants and attractions. The personnel are very courteous and helpful. AC works very good which is a big plus in the summer time. Very clean, quiet and good size rooms.
Check in staff weren't very welcoming on arrival & there was workmen working on the room next to us so it was loud during the day. Wi-Fi did not work in the room so we had to sit in the hotel lobby to use it which was inconvenient. We had a few nice drinks in the bar & the bar staff were very nice & friendly.
This is a charming old hotel we stayed at before going on El Chepe. The front desk staff and bartender spoke good English. The gal at the front desk arranged a taxi driver for us to tour around the city and to Topolobampo. He waited for us while we walked around the park, walked along the ocean and had dinner. We paid him 800 pesos. The front desk also arranged for the same taxi to take us to the train in the morning. The hotel has nice woodwork, marble stairs, stained glass windows and an old world feel. The bed and shower were great! I would stay here again.
We stayed in the Hotel Santa Anita at the end of April and then again one week later. The hotel was very quiet even though it is in the center of Los Mochis. The rooms are clean and adequate. We enjoyed a nice dinner and breakfast at the restaurant of the hotel and both meals had been very tasteful. We had organized a trip with El Chepe and were wondering if we could leave our car in the parking lot of the hotel as we would come back the following week. We paid 150 Pesos per day to have our car in a secured parking space. The staff was very helpful in any aspect of our stay and journey.
Stayed at the Hotel Santa Anita May 26 and May 31...before AND after our Copper Canyon Train excursion. Room was adequate and clean. Room service for breakfast was prompt with great coffee. The Chateaubriand for two the first night was out of this world tender and tasty! Each of us had three small bacon-wrapped tenderloins with very yummy gravy, backed potato and mixed veggies....all we could eat. Absolutely fantastic! The seafood platter for lunch is also outstanding. The lemon or lime pie is unforgettable! Ruben, our concierge was truly outstanding and helpful. He even went shopping on his own time to help obtain a disk for my camera! The entire staff was tremendous. Our driver, Rigo, was more than accommodating, he went out of his way to help us. Balderama Hotels do a wonderful job of easing your concerns as well as your tummy!…
Arrived dinner time and confused with our following day itinerary and the staff couldn't have been more helpful so eventually felt confident with out El Chepe train to the Copper Canyon. The room/hotel was a bit tired but comfy- really it was what I imagined Mexico would be like. Went to dinning room and the menu was different ended up with club toasted sandwiches and they were yummy! Their was lots of families dining. after dinner we heard girls singing so wandered into the dark bar in the hotel and had a drink. The barman was friendly and so were the locals. Next day our driver took us to El Fuerte and he was full of info and very friendly. Oh and the weather was lovely!!
Stayed here for one night after our El Chepe train journey from Chihuahua. Located in the center of town but not too far from the train station or airport The bedroom was clean and very comfortable. We had to leave early so could not sample the breakfast. No complaints
Our group of 27 people was booked in for a night, returning from the Copper Canyon Tour. The train was over an hour late, however our guide had informed the hotel and asked them to delay dinner. The dinner was largely inedible, it must have set in a warming oven for hours - totally dried out. Breakfast was not much better. The rooms are OK, but the carpet an ancient dingy brown, the air conditioner noisy - windows cannot be opened.
The place is almost in downtown Mochis, so you can walk so many places around, we stay due Chape train tour, I was expecting a really nice service since is a 4 start hotel (at least they claim the are), lobby - front desk is weird, sometime they may answer a question some other they will ignore you, they do speak english, so if you are from USA you ´ll have no issues at all. It was almost full so the hotel had a lot of people and families, and a lot of families had wild and silverter kid running and screaming around (not hotel fault), it was not quiet, not good service, not really good food. If you want to get a better service you should look out for a better place, this is not bad, rooms are good enough, clean , but any hotel must give it to you!, it is a real 2 start chain hotel in USA reference scale; they take time to answer, collect, or bill any request, restaurant check or whatever. The restaurant is average, plenty of local people, so if you want to have a regular meal try to arrive early, otherwise you will spent 2 hours for breakfast (waiting for a seat, getting menu and get full service). If you go with kids is ok, but as I mention early, so many families with zero education of manners for its wild kids.…
