We stayed for almost a week at site 154 in mid-July. While this was not the "quiet" campground, noise was minimal as the sites were well-spaced and afforded privacy from the trees. We had no problem with bugs at the campsite. When we used our SAT phone at the office parking lot one evening, we were eaten alive by mosquitos!...

We stayed in site 215, it was very nice, The park in general is quite nice very nice beach area. There are tons of trails not too far from the park, we did eight trails, the biggest one we did was track and tower I GPS it and it was 9.1 km. Some of the trails we did are kid...

Try camping on the lake. Sites are much bigger and more spaced apart. I'd stay out of the park during the early spring. The bugs will run the animals into the lakes. They are really bad. I think the best time to go is in the fall when the colors change and the bugs are gone

We stayed in Hydro 217. It was HUGE, our 26' Toy Hauler fit very nicely with more than enough room for a even bigger camper. We were across from flush toilets and laundry (very convenient & very nice facilities). We parked our truck across the front of our site for more privacy, although the convenience trumped all. You will need...

We visited Canisbay campground for our time Sept19 to 27th/15. It was our annual fall colour trip and we have usually stayed at Mew Lake but got shut out this year. While the fall colours were late this past fall finding Canisbay was a nice surprise. Check in was a breeze & staff were friendly & informative. We were across...

I stayed at Algonquin's Cannisbay campground for two days mid-week in early October. Peak colours were peak. The campground was quiet as only about 20% of the sites were booked - benefit of mid-week camping. Cannisbay is a very good campground. Sites are more than adequate and properly spaced to allow some reasonable privacy. Washrooms were clean and heated. Park...

When visiting Algonquin, the absolute best place to stay when camping is one of the PP's campgrounds. Canisbay is one of the campgrounds being open for a longer period than other campgrounds. You are always close to the lake, even while you are staying in a forest environment. Wildlife is in the area, even when you not always encounter them....

Stayed here mid - September 2015 , following a previous trip 3 years ago. Booked at the last minute and there were only 2 hydro sites left. We got site #205 which is close to the Vault toilet. Were a bit concerned but actually it was fine. Firstly the site entrance was round the corner from the toilet and not...

When we booked some months before our arrival there were no other options left in this park for our rented 30ft RV. When you book you also have more information of the privacy,... We found it to be accurate. We had spot 177 which is close to a very clean sanitary block and that is secluded just from the main...

Very large campsite, crowded by family/group of friends yelling all night, probably trying to compete with the loud music that each group was listening...each camping spot very close to the others. Guards of the campsite are very annoying, coming at you in a suspicious way whenever they see you our of your camp spot, even if it is just to...
