Borgie Lodge is surrounded by wonderful countryside from the sea to the mountains with the rivers and lochs in between. The Hotel staff are not only very welcoming, but friendly and helpful. I arrived at the weekend when there was full occupancy and had a twin - room 7 overlooking the entrance drive. It is pine panelled and rather dark, but... More

This is the type of hotel I would expect, and want to find in the north of Scotland. My wife and I stayed for one night on our travels. Overall the property is slightly tired, but on saying that the bedroom was roomy and the large bed was very comfortable. The hotel lounge was a very pleasant and peaceful room.... More

My partner and I stayed in the Borgie Lodge Hotel for a night during our North Coast 500 trip. It is a beautiful place and the staff really couldn't have been more friendly! After arriving late (around 8.30-9pm-ish) the staff were still happy to cook my partner and I a hearty dinner in their lovely dining room. The food was... More

I love this hotel, it is so cute, scottish and full of characters. we went as a group of 8. The hotel looks like a hunting lodge and full of scottish charms, the receptionist is so lovely, we arrived very late the kitchen was closed but she managed to get some food for us. She also recommanded some nice places... More

Cosy rooms with tea and coffee facilities. Had lunch ,breakfast and dinner and all were very good. The chef went out of his way to discuss my daughter's several dietary allergies and prepare food especially for her. Take a walk down the road to the beach it's a bit of a hike but worth the effort.

After a beautiful ride on our NC 500 ROUTE we rode down the quiet lane to this lovely quaint old lodge house. The welcome was very good and our room in keeping with the feel of the lodge. A Victorian bath gave us chance to relax our achy legs . The dinner was prepared by the new chef, and it... More

Not the easiest of places to find, but we're glad we found this. Good food, comfortable room, in need of tlc. Just off the main road, but if you can avoid the moronic coaches throughout the area, it's a find. Reception, bar and breakfast by one man army, suspect she cleans the rooms and does the housework as well. Service... More

Driving along the north coast and looking for something to eat mid afternoon. A hotel in Bettyhill couldn't give us anything, and the cafe at the tourist information, despite being within the opening times was shut! Drove on a happened upon the Borgie Lodge. Everything seemed rather quiet but found someone working in the kitchen. What a credit this man is... More

Borgie Lodge was our third stop while touring the NC500, it is a short drive off the route, placed between Skerray and Tongue. It is well worth the detour, a lovely old hotel in picturesque surroundings. The staff we met Kerry and Janice are a credit to the place, very friendly and hard working. There is a lovely dining room... More

The hotel was adequate, unfortunately the wifi and the television did not work, and we really had to bang our bedroom door to close it properly. I do feel that the owners need to back Janice, who is on reception, is also the bar person, waits on tables, launders and irons the bed linen, is also the general repairman (... More
