We stayed here one night on our NC500 road trip and it was perfect. The place was quiet, clean and comfortable. Tongue is a beautiful place to wander around - views in all directions! Due to restrictions at the time, a continental breakfast was left outside the rooms in the morning. It was a bit odd, but the contents were very good and we took some of the leftovers with us for the next leg of our journey. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant, and would highly recommend it. Good food and the price was reasonable.

We stayed in a group of 7, and were accommodated incredibly well. The staff got the right balance between keeping everyone safe and legal in these times and allowing enough social interaction. The rooms were oldy worldy in a charming way and the bathrooms you could see had been modernised recently. The breakfast bag was a great idea and a change from the full Scottish we had had every day preceding, so it worked well for us! Great brioche! Lorraine was especially lovely and helpful!

This is a nice hotel in an out of the way place. We had a nice room (to say it was one of their smallest) a good meal and we were well welcomed. It’s difficult times for hotels dealing with COVID regulations, all was very much in order, perhaps a little too so, but that’s not a bad thing. Well recommended!

We stayed here the day after the hotel re opened after lockdown. We were made very welcome and our room although small was clean and comfortable. We had a choice of two set dining times due to Covid and opted for 6pm sitting. The meal was excellent but the hour long wait for our food was disappointing. Having said that the staff were all new and there were obvious delays and initial teething problems for the kitchen due to Covid restrictions. The breakfast bag was full of goodies from yoghurt to granola to a breakfast sandwich. Certainly not a cheap option to a cooked breakfast. We would happily stay again. Full marks for hospitable welcome and owners concern that we were happy.
