I can't recommend this place, can't even bring myself to call it a hotel! Not particularly friendly welcome, slightly stale smell throughout. Think the carpets need cleaning. Tired rooms, no shampoo provided, no hair dryer either. Small towels. Adequate breakfast, served by a charming and smiley Italian girl! The only good thing about this poor place. Lochinver is far from...

We slept here since there were no vacancies in the b&b's nearby. The place is clean but patchy. Wifi only in the lobby and the stairs and hallways smell of fried fish in the evening (from the dinner served there I guess). Rooms come with a shower or a bathtub si make sure to get the one you prefer. Breakfast...

Just back from a one night stay here. We got the last room (no.30) which is a family room on the top floor. The bed and room was cozy and comfortable but I agree that the whole place would probably benefit from a freshen up as it is quite dated. That said it's an old building with plenty of 'character!'...

I am not one for writing bad reviews however I just want to spare anyone the pain of staying here, avoid at all costs!! My partner and I booked this hotel last minute when we were doing the NC500 mainly because we read it was a stunning, dog friendly hotel and in a lovely location. Upon booking the hotel we...

Visited many many times over the years. Its a Pub that has a vast amount of Malt Whisky on display. You never know who is going to be in, from locals to fishermen and tourists. Good Beer. What more do you want when you want a few pints with no pretence. They also have free WiFi which is a nice...

Lovely hotel with a warm welcome, the food is delicious and the helpings generous. The hotel is comfortable, characterful, well run and a pleasure to visit. So much nicer than bland chain hotels with airy rooms, it is attractive, clean and comfortable, friendly and excellent value for money, I am already looking forward to going back.

This was the worst experience of our 10 days in beautiful Scotland. We went in for a drink one evening and found the service and the atmosphere to be terrible. The woman behind the bar seemed to consider us "outsiders" and was very, very unfriendly. The bar was very noisy and the clientele were obnoxious to us. We left without...

An old hotel, in need of a bit of refurbishment, but ideally located at Lochinver harbour. It's about a 5-10min walk into the main village centre. Rooms are basic, but functional and clean. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast is fresh cooked to order and is very tasty.

A hotel in need of a makeover. Having a fishing boat ice factory outside the front door doesn't help this once grand but tired hotel. It's really in need of someone to spend some money on the decor, fixtures and fittings. Saying that the room was comfortable and warm, two very good nights sleep in the bed and the shower...
