Had a brief stay on our first trip to Victoria. Our room was small but comfortable, it appears recently renovated. The shower for our room and that of our friends were difficult to operate, perhaps management would do well with placing instructions in the glass doors. Breakfast was good and so was service. Proximity to town is quite good one...

Thank you for your comments about your stay with us. Both showers in each of your rooms are of a newer style. We wish to refrain from posting signage all over the property as this would take away from the uniqueness of the Inn. However, the staff are now verbally advising guests about those two showers in particular upon escorting...

Found this hotel unexpectedly and feel in love. It's an old estate that is used as a hotel. The house is beautiful with its character. It reminds me of the Fairmont (both the empress in Victoria and the one in Banff). And of course the gardens are beautiful! Stacey treated me great. Made the short stay easy. I'll definitely be...

Thank you for taking the time to comment about your stay as well as for mentioning a staff member in particular. Sometimes it's the properties that guests find accidently that are the most special! Please do not hesitate to connect with us directly to book your next stay while in Victoria.

We loved this Inn.. Affordable and so cozy.. The grounds were nice and our room on the very top was just perfect for us. There are no elevators so you do walk up some stairs. The inside is classy but not stuffy. The continental breakfast was a nice touch as well. You can order food delivered to the Inn and...

The English Inn is an Icon: Built in 1905 as a fanciful Tudor chateau, it has been beautifully modernized, keeping all its rich warm atmosphere. It is like staying with a favorite wealthy Aunt. Woodland gardens, you can stroll through the grounds, relax in the lobby, help yourself to breakfast on the terrace. The staff are great, the beds are excellent...

Coming from San Diego, the English Inn was a dream come true. We were lucky to get a Crown room with balcony that had views to the ocean. We couldn't believe how charming, beautiful, rustic, friendly and perfectly located, close to walking trails along the shores. Lovely grounds with lots of history. Yes it's old, but that makes it even...

Thank you for commenting on your stay with us and for using some key words that are what make the Inn so special. Yes, we are a property rich with history and charm. We provide a much different experience for our guests in comparison to a newly built hotel. It's a pleasure to host guests like yourself that appreciate the...

This is, as the name suggests modelled on an old English inn, with lots of mock-Tudor touches. It is located in what is primarily a residential area, so it probably was one of the original houses in the area. It has large gardens which are lovely to sit in when it is sunny. Inside, the lounge areas are very comfortable...

We had our honeymoon here 22 years ago when it was The Old English Inn and a major tourist attraction. It was fun to come back as it has gone through major changes and renovations...hardly recognized it. The staff were cheery and very friendly and the lounge fire, cozy. We loved drinking our wine, toasting our toes and reading our...

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We stayed in the Crown Jewel room which was huge and nicely appointed - beautiful balcony and comfortable furnishings. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The shower was HOT and POWERFUL. The grounds could use some upkeep and it's a shame that the Thatched Cottage has been allowed to sit in disrepair and...

The Crown Jewels certainly are the heart of the Inn! It's fabulous to hear that you found the staff to be an enhancement to your stay. Everyone works very hard to look after our guests and ensure their stay in a special one. Spring has sprung - an enormous amount of work has already taken place in the last few...

I would have given this 5 points but both nights we were there I was awakened by children laughing and/or people talking and walking around. If you are a light sleeper might not be he best place but my boyfriend slept like a rock! However, all staff was VERY friendly and apologetic for the restless nights. They serve snacks in...

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay at the Inn. The majority of our rooms are more set away from the lobby area which is where your room was located. For those that are light sleepers, these rooms are extremely quiet. It's nice to hear that the rest of your experience at the property was positive and that...

I was a bit skeptical based on the location (middle of no where) but really only a 8 minute cab ride to Victoria city centre - $10 cab ride. When we checked into this GRAND mansion (that's exactly what it looks like pulling in) it's absolutely amazing. Lots of parking in the front and rear of the Inn. Walking up...

Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments about the Inn and your stay.
