Spent 3 nights at mosscrag from 27th Dec. Mark and April were excellent hosts providing a lovely cooked breakfast and a warm cosy room. They couldn't have been more welcoming and they even provided doggy shampoo when our dog rolled in something nasty!

Stayed for one night, we were at a wedding in the village and opted to stay at mosscrag. A lovely welcome, plenty of parking. Room on suite, lovely comfortable bed and a large cooked English breakfast. Would definitely visit again and would recommend.

We booked a single night stay just for a chill out. After arriving around 2 we were immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the guest house. All the unoccupied rooms were open and available for inspection. Each one spotlessly clean and presented very nicely. After enjoying

We stayed here whilst at a wedding across the road at the inn on the lake. We had the room at the top overlooking the stream. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good in the morning and free car parking was an added bonus.

I stayed here as part of my Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk. It was quite a bit out of the way from the walk's trail, in the next village, actually from the village that the route ends for the day. When I arrived, I wasn't really greeted by anyone. Eventually, a nice woman

Response from Mosscrag, Owner at Mosscrag B&B
Responded Sep 13, 2018
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Mosscrag. I am sorry we were not around when you arrived, I can only assume we made an error about the time you were planning to arrive. We have an arrangement with keys with the baggage moving companies, which clearly didn't work well this time, again, apologies, but we have never lost any luggage or contents in this very safe little village. I just need to point out that we only have a first and second floor, so just two flights of stairs in total! The wifi usually works as well as we can expect in our small village, on the occasions that it is weaker upstairs on the top(second) floor our guests can get a good signal in our comfortable guest lounge. Kind regards April Hook.

If I remember there was a hair dryer in the room (I had no use of it) but it's probably best to ring the proprietors and confirm. We got there mid-morning and there was someone there - I don't remember a check in time being specified.

Hi, I just stayed at the guest house, which is lovely, but I'm nothing to do with it.
