This is a lovely Parador off the beaten track in Galicia and was the 74th Parador we have stayed in. We were given a very warm welcome at reception and shown to our room in the medieval tower. The receptionist was clearly very proud of his Parador and gave us a lovely explanation of its history. We spoke in Spanish... More

This Parador has its own Renanassiance Tower! Very historic buildings and you can stay in the tower or take a tour of it. There is a bar and restaurant at the base of the tower. The furnishings are incredible, Good, location too for shopping.

I really couldn't fault this little parador in a sweet Galician village. I went in the middle of November - well out of holiday season so it was very quiet. However, the receptionists were both lovely and the barman/waiter was excellent. The bedroom was comfortable and clean, and the tower was a great place to sit and read. The food... More

We stayed at the Parador de Vilalba two nights during our hiking through Galicia and found it to be one of the quietest, most relaxing stays offering the best value of all the Paradores we visited. Their rooms are large and comfortable and their sauna was most welcome for those of us who had been hiking. Their breakfast provided a... More

We doubt that many (if any) folks will be visiting Vilalba for nightlife or shopping or even much in the way of historical attraction. When we were there it was shut! (in general terms) We were en route It has however a certain charm. lot of little bars (nicely non-touristy) and some restaurants although they were shut as well (Monday... More

This is in rundown area of Spain, and does not really justify the Parador title. Our room was scruffy and needing refurbishment. The hairdryer in the bathroom was broken, and the bath had hair from a previous guest in it, so not very nice. We stayed for 2 nights, and each day the cooked breakfast was cold. Evening meal was... We stayed one night in our travels around the region. We selected superior room which was just wonderful. Big windows large bathroom and great beds. The paradors never fail to deliver but this one is s special place. We could have stayed in the Tower but the wife thought it was too spooky. Dinner at bottom of the tower was... More

Spent two nights. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was quiet and well equipped. Bathroom was clean and more than adequate with both shower and bath. The buffet breakfast was good with a wide selection of dishes. WiFi was free and signal and speed were good. Parking is provided in the basement of the building for 2 Euros a... More
