The Hotel Bremon, located in the historic center of the municipality of Cardona and built in the old school of Carmelitas Vedrunas, building dating from the nineteenth century, is an establishment with its own history. It has 19 cozy rooms, all equipped with air conditioning, flat screen TV, safe and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is located in in the old section of Cardona. It seems a little run down. There was no kettle or coffee making facilities. The lighting in the room was very poor. The air conditioning is centrally controlled, not able to change per room requirements. The room key was very large, not easy to lose. However the room was very large with a good shower. The free WiFi was good. Breakfast was wonderful. The staff were very friendly.

This is a comfortable hotel, and the breakfast is wonderful (don’t miss the cheesecake). But the rooms are small, and the bathroom was ‘tired’ - the shower was had to adjust and the water temperature was erratic. The sink drain was broken. And my pet issue- insufficient laydown space for toiletries Very nice spiral staircase

We stayed here for 2 nights in order to attend a wedding nearby. Pros The hotel is very charming and old worldly. It has been renovated to a good standard. The rooms are cleaned to a fantastic standard. There is a lift to the rooms which makes the stay easier. The hotel does have a parking garage which is reasonably priced. The terrace on floor 4 is beautiful and has lovely views. Cons The rooms are small. There were 2 of us in our room along with our luggage. We found that we were tripping over each other and our luggage. The air conditioning wasn't great. The room was incredibly warm when we checked in. It would be preferable if the air con was on prior to a guest checking in. The hotel will give you a code for access after 11pm. This code is temperamental - when we returned from the wedding, there were several of us trying the code and it took 10 attempts to get in despite the code being correct. Dietary requirements are limited despite the staff trying their best. Notes English speaking guests please note that the staff have limited English. I would say this hotel is OK for a short stay but not for a longer stay.

Charming hotel in old part of city. My room was large and comfortable with a recently renovated bathroom. The owners Elizabet and Ramon with their staff looked after me extremely well. Ironing board provided when I asked. Windows seemed to be soundproof. Lovely terrace top floor. Whilst it did not have the views The Parador has it had a lot more charm and comfort.

This hotel was delightful. It is located very centrally in the middle of the town surrounded by shops and restaurants. It is an older building with a lot of character, comfortable rooms, helpful staff and a very good breakfast. Our room was large and light and looked over the car park at the rear but with quite a good view. There was a nice bar downstairs that made a very good gin and tonic! Breakfast was served in an upstairs room with a terrace. Good local cheese and meats and excellent home made cakes. Very comfortable stay.

My wife and I stayed for a wedding and booked into the Bremon for 3 days. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast in the morning(continental) was ample. The rooms were en suit and very comfortable and clean. One small difficulty was the bath floors. They were very slippery even with a suction mat. We could take the stairs or the lift to our rooms. There was air conditioning in the rooms also. All in all I would come back and stay her again. Amenities like other bars, restaurants and some sightseeing are all available here. Well done to all the staff. Muchos Gracias.

Location was great, just a short stroll through the pedestrian laneway to town centre. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, reception staff friendly and helpful and breakfast was OK. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again - but book through an on-line booking site as price at hotel was quite expensive.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Perfectly located in the middle of the old town. The place itself is beautiful. The modernist lobby is spectacular, with the hydraulic floors and the old electric panel behind the counter. Our room was of regular size, finely decorated, everything in perfect working condition (aircon, tv, wifi). The bathroom was roomy with matching old-style deco. Good quality of amenities. Staff was super helpful and attentive. Buffet breakfast was well stocked, with a wide variety of local cold cuts/sausages/cheeses. Very good value for money.

Attended a wedding yesterday at the Parador and needed a close by accommodation. I am blown away with this little family owned hotel. Great bedroom, beautifully decorated, very quiet and just few minutes walk from the Parador. From the hotel to Parador you'd better take a taxi though! If you thinking of booking here, please do.

Knowing the Bremon was in a hillside village, I emailed in advance about garaging the car and was assured the garage at the rear of the hotel was easy to find. My GPS recognised the hotel address but you cannot drive there so I parked several hundred metres away and walked to the hotel only to be advised that the garage had a different address -which my GPS also recognised. The instructed way to get from where I was to the garage (by the receptionist) was impossible due to one way streets however after a long frustrating time I found the garage which is really a public car park with a two hour limit so you need a disc for the windscreen. When I mentioned this to the receptionist she said just to go back to the car and put a handwritten note of the time and then go back every two hours. I duly did this and obviously showed my frustration when I returned whereupon the manager asked the receptionist why I hadn't been offered the under cover free car park the hotel had. This was too much so I retired to my room after being within 150 metres of the hotel for 1.5 hours!! In need of a drink I went to the cocktail bar and asked for a glass of ice. I was given four tiny ice cubes and was told they had no more. No wonder the cocktail bar was empty!! As I was leaving to sight see, the "helpful" receptionist gave me a map of the village and the main feature was an indication on how to find the carpark. Why hadn't that been given to me when I enquired or better still emailed to me when I asked about parking? Now to the hotel - it is indeed quaint and well furnished although the rooms are rather small. Rooms at the front (a narrow alley) are dark due to lack of sunlight. Breakfast was abysmal and I seemed to be the only guest (maybe the service mentioned above had something to do with that) and I was constantly asked if I needed anything - to the point it was annoying. Undoubtedly this could be a fantastic hotel given the right staff with a helpful attitude but right now it is woeful - and I usually give hotels the benefit of the doubt.
