Detailed Reviews
The trip to Cardona was not planned and our hotel choice was last minute. We were greeted by Rita graciously and treated like family. What a lovely time we had with our bits of Spanish and her patience.
The hotel felt peaceful and was cleaner than any of the hotels on our trip. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was even a decent sized tub for weary bones.
Before departing the next morning, we had a long enjoyable conversation with Edward who was of immense assistance in guiding us forward on our trip.
This was the best of the best.

Very friendly, helpful and generous staff. The hotel is very clean and the bedroom and bathroom are all you could want. The hotel is located only fifty metres from the center. There is a nice terrace on the fourth floor with a good view!! We didn't try the bar or restaurant but they looked very nice

Hotel Bremon is fabulous!
My husband and I shared a gorgeous room with tasteful decor, a great bath, and all the amenities you could want-even chocolate.
The staff was very helpful in providing restaurant recommendations, a town map, and discount coupons for nearby tourist attractions.
We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Hotel Bremon.

Well, first of all finding the hotel is a nightmare. You follow the signs into the village, all good, and then they just disappear. What happens is that you are supposed to stop in a busy road with double yellow lines and call the hotel so that someone can come down and open their garage for you, which takes a good few minutes, on the other side of the hotel than the actual main door. When I got help from a villager and ran up to the hotel while my husband was parked illegally, the girl in reception said "Well, it happens all the time". Well, perhaps you should improve your instructions about how to get to your hotel???
The interior of the entire hotel is nice and painted in all the "in" colours, but the room is small. I dread to think what size the standard rooms are. There were no dressing gowns (as promised on website), what they call a "balcon"(balcony, as promised on website) is a ledge, there are blankets instead of duvets and one large towel and one small towel for a Superior room for a couple. I know I need one towel to dry myself and one to wrap around my head to dry the hair...Or are we supposed to argue about who gets the large towel and who gets the small one?
OK, this is due to myself not doing my Google Earth research (but should I have to?), but when it says on the website "fantastic view over the mountains", I think I am going to see mountains, not an old salt mine on the side of a pine-forested hill. There are amazing mountain views around this place, this hotel just fails to mention that the amazing mountain views in its own particular case is focused on a reddish scar in a hill.
When we rang reception and asked about dressing gowns and if there was a nicer room, the answer was "no" and the demeanour of the girl in reception was perceptibly more chilly when we came down, which I REALLY don't appreciate. Saying that the rest of the staff was lovely in every way. We didn't bother asking for more towels or mentioning that the plug in the sink was broken so it didn't hold water - it didn't seem worth it. The cleaning was great when we got there, spotless almost, but for the second night basically the bed had been made, with the same sheets, and that was it. No cleaning of anything else whatsoever, including bathroom.
I think that for where they are and what they offer this place is WAY overpriced - someone's spent a lot of money on decoration but there is no attention to detail and the actual experience of someone staying there.
Additional minor moans: the rooms are not soundproofed so if your hiking-enthusiast neighbours are leaving at 6.30 am, you are going to know about it.
No fridge.
Telly didn't work at all until I got mad and wiggled a few cables around - really small thing but when I'm paying more than 115 Euros a night, I would like these things to just WORK.

Charming hotel in old part of city. My room was large and comfortable with a recently renovated bathroom.
The owners Elizabet and Ramon with their staff looked after me extremely well.
Ironing board provided when I asked.
Windows seemed to be soundproof.
Lovely terrace top floor. Whilst it did not have the views The Parador has it had a lot more charm and comfort.

This hotel was delightful. It is located very centrally in the middle of the town surrounded by shops and restaurants. It is an older building with a lot of character, comfortable rooms, helpful staff and a very good breakfast.
Our room was large and light and looked over the car park at the rear but with quite a good view. There was a nice bar downstairs that made a very good gin and tonic! Breakfast was served in an upstairs room with a terrace. Good local cheese and meats and excellent home made cakes. Very comfortable stay.

What a pity we were here for only one night. The hotel is lovely. It is decorated in a modern Spanish style. It has so much character and such a welcoming ambience. Parking is available in the lower street level in a private garage. It takes some finding but the hotel staff are most willing to help. The rooms are stylish, well appointed and comfortable and one can be guaranteed a great night's sleep. The shower is great. Lots of hot water in an immaculately clean bathroom. The hotel belongs to the Rusticae chain which is always a guarantee of good quality. Dinner and breakfast are available. If you are in the area this hotel is a must.

My wife and I stayed for a wedding and booked into the Bremon for 3 days. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast in the morning(continental) was ample. The rooms were en suit and very comfortable and clean. One small difficulty was the bath floors. They were very slippery even with a suction mat.
We could take the stairs or the lift to our rooms. There was air conditioning in the rooms also. All in all I would come back and stay her again. Amenities like other bars, restaurants and some sightseeing are all available here.
Well done to all the staff. Muchos Gracias.

Location was great, just a short stroll through the pedestrian laneway to town centre. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, reception staff friendly and helpful and breakfast was OK. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again - but book through an on-line booking site as price at hotel was quite expensive.

Knowing the Bremon was in a hillside village, I emailed in advance about garaging the car and was assured the garage at the rear of the hotel was easy to find. My GPS recognised the hotel address but you cannot drive there so I parked several hundred metres away and walked to the hotel only to be advised that the garage had a different address -which my GPS also recognised. The instructed way to get from where I was to the garage (by the receptionist) was impossible due to one way streets however after a long frustrating time I found the garage which is really a public car park with a two hour limit so you need a disc for the windscreen. When I mentioned this to the receptionist she said just to go back to the car and put a handwritten note of the time and then go back every two hours. I duly did this and obviously showed my frustration when I returned whereupon the manager asked the receptionist why I hadn't been offered the under cover free car park the hotel had. This was too much so I retired to my room after being within 150 metres of the hotel for 1.5 hours!!
In need of a drink I went to the cocktail bar and asked for a glass of ice. I was given four tiny ice cubes and was told they had no more. No wonder the cocktail bar was empty!! As I was leaving to sight see, the "helpful" receptionist gave me a map of the village and the main feature was an indication on how to find the carpark. Why hadn't that been given to me when I enquired or better still emailed to me when I asked about parking?
Now to the hotel - it is indeed quaint and well furnished although the rooms are rather small. Rooms at the front (a narrow alley) are dark due to lack of sunlight. Breakfast was abysmal and I seemed to be the only guest (maybe the service mentioned above had something to do with that) and I was constantly asked if I needed anything - to the point it was annoying.
Undoubtedly this could be a fantastic hotel given the right staff with a helpful attitude but right now it is woeful - and I usually give hotels the benefit of the doubt.
