Just one night here at the very beginning of January, when it was minus 2 degrees! Our room was lovely and warm enough, but the bar and dining-room were freezing cold! We arrived at the end of the day, just after sunset, and had been looking forward to a pre-dinner drink in front of a roaring fire! But not to...

The place is a amazing, a real castle from the 12th century with great views and lots of history. That is the best of the place... The worst? Stuck-up staff, normal food, 90's cheesy bathrooms decorated in marble (the corridors and rooms are very nice, I must say), torn uip bathroom doors... Definetely, too expensive for what they offer.

Incredible place to stay. The surroundings brought history to life in a comfortable room. Make sure you walk into town and visit the friendly bars and restaurants. Very little English is spoken by the locals but they do their best to help you with menus and choices. We were there on a Sunday and the main Square had a market...

The hotel is in a very old hill top fort. The views across the countryside are fantastic. Good sized room and clean. The bed was OK and the shower could have gad a better flow. The evening meal was very good as was the breakfast. Good value considering the location.

This was very special. My partner and I, were celebrating our birthdays together, and decided to spend our first time in a parador in Spain. The castle is incredible seen from the inside as well as from the outside. At night is light up and looks fantastic. You really have got the feeling of being in a fairy tale during...

A beautiful place to relax after Barcelona. I spent my birthday with my husband in this exquisite Parador - we slept in the sky surrounded by mountains. The staff was friendly and the food delicious, plus we had a private tour of the church and battle museum.

When you see this impressive 9th century castle from afar, it is quite amazing. Large and imposing. But first, I want to reiterate what a previous reviewer wrote about the parking. When you see the first parking lot, keep driving where you will see the entrance. One more ramp up brings you to a smaller parking lot that I thought...

Approaching by road, one can appreciate the scale and grandeur of the building. Paradors are very reasonably priced for truly unique hotels. One could always nit pick about aspects of one's stay but that would be missing the point

I recently spent two nights with my husband and 20 year old daughter at the Paradore at Cardona and was impressed. I am a history buff, so the idea of staying in an original castle seemed unique, and it was! The hotel has been tastefully adapted into a luxury hotel. There are photo opportunities at every corner. Our clean room...
