An elegant house outside Santillana del Mar, Siglo XVIII is quiet and comfortable. Rooms are clean - but small - the one we stayed in even featured a terrace with a panorama over the surrounding hills. Nice little pool in the garden, satisfying breakfast and very kind staff. This place is a must if visiting charming Santillana. Just one drawback:...

The hotel is in a beautiful historic building, ideally situated just a couple of minutes' walk from the lively historic centre of Santillana del Mar. We had an elegant and spacious room - but unfortunately there was no air conditioning and we were there when temperatures were extremely high. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a pre-paid...

The staff at this hotel were all charming and helpful, and we were lucky enough to be given a room with a large terrace, which we used on the few occasions it was warm enough too! The hotel is a short walk from the centre of Santillana, so it's easy to walk there for dinner or drinks and then return...

Service with a smile at every turn. Forget the pool and just enjoy the comfortable rooms, lovely views, quiet garden and country feel. A few minutes walk down the road is the busy, buzzing medieval town of Santillana del Mar, where you can find more restaurants than you could eat in for a month! Have you read the previous reviews?...

The building is very sympathetic to the local area, with a beautiful timber staircase in the entrance hall. Plenty of parking. Our room had a large covered balcony which was lovely. There is no air conditioning and lots of Mosquitos so the first night was very hot but the next day when we spoke to the owner she found us...

We stayed for 4 nights B&B in a Superior room in August and on balance, this hotel falls somewhere between 3 and 4 on the TAd rating scale. Location is great but having the Superior room balcony made a big difference to us and without it, we'd have rated this hotel as Average. Overall the hotel is a 'mixed bag'...

This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. Nice staff. The room decor was excellent. The hotel itself is modern, but the style is very sympathatic with the medieval vilage nearby. Two caveats: the breakfast was quite poor, and the wifi didn't work very well.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel just outside Santillana. The room was nice with a good view. Breakfast was not great, but overall it was good value for money. The pool is a good thing if you are traveling with children, but it could have a few parasols in the mid-day heat.

The hotel offers basic, clean accomodation, which represents fair value for money. The decor is rather dated in the public rooms and the hotel rooms. The breakfast was very basic, we didn't bother on our second morning. A short walk to the touristy town of santilliana del mar, it is well worth going to the Cave of El Castillo.

Lots of polished wood with a very attractive entrance hall. The rooms are quite basic but done with some style using quality original fixtures and fittings. Santillana is such a pretty village and the hotel is only 5 minutes walk away from the centre with ample parking. The pool was a bit chilly even in August. Staff are very friendly...
