We stayed overnight at the Colegiata on our way back to Santander for the ferry. With our 2 teenagers we had a family room at the back of the hotel which was spaceous but very tired. There was no view as the windows were about 10 feet from the floor and had a ladder to allow you to open/close the... More

We visited the hotel after several years, and found it as good as ever. The location is excellent sitting on a hill above the town, great views. Comfortable rooms, beautiful reception and breakfast room . The breakfast is basic but adequate. The owners speak English which proved very helpful on our visit. Our car broke down and needed to go... More

Stayed two nights. Location is very good. 10 mins walk from Santillana. Good parking. Easy access to main roads for visiting the area. Generous buffet breakfast. Had dinner at the hotel, portions slightly smaller than what we expect in the area. Rooms are shabby and bathroom uncomfortable. Needs a makeover but they are probably too busy to notice.

Stayed here for 4 nights. The views are amazing across the countryside and yet only a 10 minute walk into the town which is busy with tourists. The pool area was lovely- we were the only people using it when we stayed and again, so relaxing. Breakfast was basic but fine, and an earlier start would have suited us. In... More

We stayed her because one of our party had stayed 3 years previously and thought the location was excellent. Much to his surprise, the hotel was not the same as he had previously experienced. Our room (and the hotel) was not up to 3* standard and the bathroom was a disgrace, The taps on the sink unit were so loose... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, a great stopover from the midweek Santander ferry. Friendly staff, lovely breakfast and evening meals. There is a swimming pool but the cool weather stopped my boys from using it! The hotel is just a stone throws away from the beautiful medieval town which is highly recommended for a good walk around.... More

We stayed for 5 nights towards the end of June. We found the location to be excellent with approx a 10min walk into Santillana. I can't praise the staff highly enough, they made us feel more welcome than anywhere else we've visited in Spain. Thanks for all your hospitality and we will definitely return.

I am giving this lovely hotel full marks. It has a lovely feel about it, with stunning views over the countryside. It's only a 5 minute walk into the town centre where there is a huge choice of bars and restaurants. The hotel has a small swimming pool which we didn't have time to use. There is a large car... Have just returned from a 3 night break with Brittany Ferries. This is a character hotel, with panoramic views over the countryside. Accommodation is basic but very clean. The staff are very helpful and the service was great. The breakfast is continental with cereals fruit juices etc. and supplies were topped up regularly. There was lots of outside seating to... More
