We really enjoyed our short stay here. Our welcome was the warmest we've had so far in Spain and for the first time I didn't have to carry my own bag up three flights of stairs. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Good breakfast of ham and cheese, fresh fruit, etc. Yes, the walls are thin but our neighbors were considerate... More

Travelled as a group of 6 motorcyclists in August 2016. The owner could not have been more helpful - even moving his own car out of the garage so that we could secure the bikes. He gave great recommendations for places to visit and the best restaurants in town. He basically made a lovely holiday just that bit better. Lovely... More

This is a very nice place to stay. Although an old building it is quite contemporary with good sized comfortable rooms. The owners are extremely pleasant and helpful.Breakfast was good. The location is perfect on the outskirts of the town, just walking distance to the town and there is free parking on site. would definitely recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights in this beautiful small hotel, it is in the old Spanish style, well furnished and comfortable. Our room was a good size, the bathroom was well equipped, both were very clean. Although you are within 5 minutes walk of the town this hotel overlooks the countryside, the view from our room was lovely. Breakfast was... More

Nice living room, nice room, good breakfast. The owners are really kind, giving u a lot of great recommendations of the surrounding area. Te fireplace is always running and u can get great reading. The place is so quite and just 300m from Santillana'sheart. Awesome, and very cheap.

We had a wonderful 1-night-stay in Santillana. Posada de la Abadia was a great place to stay: The stuff in the family-run place was very friendly and always trying to help. The house itself is beautiful, the rooms are really spacious, the breakfast is alright. Unfortunately WiFi only worked close to the reception, not in the rooms.

We spent the night before Epiphany aka Wise Men visit or Reyes Magos, to view. the Caminata de Reyes in Santillana. This Posada. is very well kept and cozy. The owners are very friendly and helpfull. Great conversations with them in the fireplace area. Quaint atmosphere in this mountainside retreat. Juan Carlos and his wife wait for you here. highly... More

Me wife and I stayed here in early February for a visit to Santillana del Mar and the Altimira Museo. The small Posada is very welcoming as are the hosts. One speaks some English. The establishment is clean and the room we had very adequate for the cost. Parking is no problem. The free breakfast consisted of a variety of... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this small hotel. Our host was so helpful and the conversation was always interesting. The hotel was on the edge of the Santillana del Mar but literally a five minutes walk to the centre. The village itself is incredibly busy during the day with day trippers by coach but the hotel is quietly situated... More

One of the best features of this lovely posada is the owners, who go out of their way to welcome visitors and help them in any way during a stay in this home that has been in their family for over 200 years. It is in a perfect, quiet location on the edge of the historic part of Santillana del... More
