Excellent Hôtel.!!!! See more......When you arrive, there is no one. You have to call the property owner so that he himself phones someone who then comes to hand you the keys to your room. You are in a real Air B&B..... We show you the room, decent, with a small bathroom that emits smells .., but hey, you booked. Then you hear repetitive music. You open the shutters and you understand that this Pension is located right in front of a music school that teaches piano, flute, etc. and organizes rehearsals until midnight. Later in the evening you hear new noises. You can see that the ground floor of this Pension is occupied not by one restaurant, but by two. Noise throughout the evening until more hours (usually until 1 or 2 a.m.). You try to sleep between 1 am and 5 am, because in addition we forget to tell you that this Inn is located in a small street which itself is located just behind the only road that serves GARACHICO; so a hellish noise all night. This is our stay in so-called 4 stars, if despite this you want to book, we wish you a good holiday, but we will not come back to this place again. I was gonna forget about breakfast, bread and butter, with coffee. If you want another coffee you have to ask.

Well, this accommodation cannot be described as a hotel, but more a boarding house with fantastic rooms! The building sits on the waterfront with an entrance located in the small cobbled street, one street back from the main road. You arrive in an inner courtyard, which also has a small tea/coffee shop that sells pastries and other snacks. Reception is a small office with limited opening times, the gentlemen in the office greeted us and completed the check-in process without any fuss. We opted for one of the loft-suites located on the roof of the building (note that there are no lifts/elevators so travel light, else you have to carry your luggage up 3 flights of stairs, although the hotel staff did assist us, thankfully!). The room was outstanding, with a large kitchenette, dining area, lounge and screened off bedroom with plenty of storage, the bathroom was well appointed, but what make this room special is the very large terrace that offers fantastic views out to sea, across the bay and the surrounding mountains, along with table, chairs and sunbeds! Breakfast is served in the courtyard cafe each morning, which offers basic continental breakfasts, which is fine. Location is ideal for a couple of nights to explore Garachico, although parking can be a challenge at certain times of the day!

We booked the hotel on booking.com. However, due to my busy schedule, I am unable to comment within the stipulated time. To express my gratitude to Alvaro, I can only leave a comment here. :)
We are from Hong Kong and met no other Asian tourists in Garachico. We stayed in a top floor room. The room was clean and tidy. The environment is quiet and you can hear the sound of the sea at night. The view from the balcony was amazing and the staff (Alvaro) was nice and helpful. We paid extra for pick-up service to and from the hotel and airport. This service is convenient for those who cannot drive.
I enjoyed my three days in Garachico. If I ever have the chance to visit Garachico again, I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
In addition, I recommend everyone to try the Chinese restaurant next to the center of the square. The fish and rabbit meat are very delicious:)

The place is impressive, an 18th century mansion, exposed beams, exquisite decoration, a view of the sea with the famous natural swimming pools below and on the other side the roofs of the city and the church bell tower. Gorgeous! On the other hand, when we arrived it was horrible heat in the apartment. We opened all the windows and turned on the fans. At night we had to close the windows because the main road runs right below and there are bars opposite and people singing until late at night. We were therefore not able to peacefully enjoy this exceptional apartment, even if the staff was very friendly and did their best. We were a little disappointed as we were looking forward to staying at this hotel. I think it must be better in winter.

We really loved this place. It's in a beautiful old building and the rooms are huge with the most spectacular cielings. Breakfast is courtesy of a cafe based in the downstairs courtyard, and I had lovely spanish omelette sandwiches every morning plus choice of fruit and cakes. I need to give a special shout out to the extremely kind hotel owner, Conrado, who drove me around various medical facilities in the vicinity of Garachico after I was struck down with a bout of gasteroenteritis. Definitely going beyond the call of duty!

the rooms are in fact mini apartments, very practical, and ideally located in the center of Garachico. we were also lucky enough to have a view of the ocean. the historic side of the place gives it incredible charm and the cafeteria downstairs is as friendly as it is practical. We were just a little surprised by the "remote" management, without on-site reception, but once the surprise passed, and our little arrival problems were sorted out, everything was very good.

This hotel it’s very beautiful. It has large rooms all with kitchen that can be useful in different situations. The palace is a colonial building with a very cozy atmosphere. It has a Courtyard with big plants where it is possible to have breakfast. The cakes are outrageous.
Every body where very kind and helps us in different situations. The place it’s in front of the see. With wonderful natural pool. From here you can easily arrive every where in Tenerife, but at the some moment stay far from the crowd.

This place is an amazing building, been in the owners family for over 200 years.
Only 7 rooms, all with kitchenettes fitted in. The place creaks & groans all day long.

Although the bedroom was vast & has the amazing wooden ceiling & was generally comfortable, the mattress on the bed was a tad soft & everytime I turned over Mrs B was almost catapulted through the top off the four poster.

The good Breakfast was served in the courtyard by the adjoining cafe, separate review to follow.

Internet was supplied through the rooms own router & was very good 17.5Mbps.

The only other problem was the parking, on the street, sometimes over 10 minutes walk away, or driving round & round until you find a space.

Overall we had a very good stay.

The small town of Garachico is not touristic, only for day tourists traveling around the North side of Tenerife. However it is friendly, has nice restaurants and quite a few artisanal shops. There is not really a beach, yet there are natural lava pools. Our hotelroom/appartmentsuite (nr6!) had a beautifull view on the (rough) sea 15m away and offered a lot of space (2 rooms, hallway, bathroom). We stayed there for 2 weeks during Christmas with our 5 year old daughter.

The Good:
- spacious rooms, we had a double room (best rooms are on 2nd floor, nr6 and 7/lava mare room)
- really nicely and warm decorated with eye for detail. For all ages.
- great breakfast and for a little extra fresh patiserie de luxe!
- nice hotelowners, do not speak English well, as many in Garachico speak Spanish.
- real feeling of living in a small-town, nice people around
- spectactular sea view / lava pools view
- nice restaurant @ lava pools.. 25m away with sea view (for drinks, simple food and some patience with the waiters)
- best Icecream ever, only 25m as well (across the restaurant)
- only 25 minutes from Puero de la Cruz, for some shopping and tourism and Loro Parque and HIDDEN mega large public swimming pool(s) (check Google)
- beautifull car-trip to Vulcano/Teide via the Northern mountain-route via Buenavista

The bad:
- Hotel can be noisy (traffic, old building sometime we could hear our neighbours below speak)
- Not really a balcony (our room nr 6 had a window with seats, yet some rooms have a balcony)
- Garachico is nice, yet quite. Which is a good or maybe for some a bad.
- no swimming pool, no beach (50m, nobody there), lava pools can be dangerous / yet als adventurous. With our daughter (5) we used to car to drive to beaches nearby and on the south side (visiting Siam Park!).

We had a great holliday and recommend a visit to Garachico and Isla Baja Suites and bakery!

Definitely not a chain hotel!

The manager was kind enough to stay late the day of our arrival to check us in. That first night, parking was difficult, and we were tired and struggling. Ended up parking at the football stadium down the street. On subsequent days, we parked either on the street or in that same car park. There is another free car park across the street, in the ocean side, but it was full when we tried to park there.

The breakfasts were good, with yummy bread. Two of the three mornings included fried eggs.

We enjoyed the room with the terrace. The bathroom, while big enough, left a little to be desired, and they only included a couple half-used bottles of bath amenities. Luckily, we did bring our own products!

WiFi worked perfectly.

We had to keep the windows/sliding doors cracked to keep it cool enough for sleeping. The only problem was that was difficult when it rained, and one night there was loud music outside keeping me up.

While I would probably stay elsewhere next time, we very much enjoyed the food in Garachico. Excellent restaurants all just a short walk away.

Reception was very part time, you'll probably have to collect the key from somebody in the cafe, which is in the same building. Which is also the breakfast place. After that you'll be able to relax & enjoy, we did, it's a lovely place to stay.
